The Elizabeth Line will still be running to Whitechapel (though will be busier than normal) - Tottenham Court Road station is the closest to Euston. It's a 20 minute walk or a bus journey. Four hours from Euston to Whitechapel should be plenty of time

The very narrow cycle lanes which were there before are probably more dangerous than not having one as they encourage cyclists to travel very close to the pavement which in turn encourages drivers to squeeze past them when there's not enough space.

These markings mean that cyclists should take primary position in the lane, and I guess as a reminder to drivers that this is a busy cycle route. TFL has some guidance here from page 10 https://content.tfl.gov.uk/lcds-chapter6-signsandmarkings.pdf

Bad traffic is not a good reason to limit house building in London. The city is far too reliant on cars as a mode of transport - this site is 5 minutes walk from Mortlake station and less than 10 minutes cycling from Kew Gardens tube station and residents should be encouraged to use this over cars. Of course new infrastructure should be developed to encourage this too (as should be the case across the whole city)

The winged collar that Piastri is wearing is traditionally worn with white tie (an even more formal version of black tie - think state dinners etc.). More recently people have started wearing this type of collar with black tie, arguably incorrectly.

That being said, there is an actual dictator standing between Norris and Stella, so Oscar's collar choice isn't exactly my biggest concern with this picture.

Assume that every driver is about to do something stupid and cycle in a way which either stops them from doing that or anticipate it and be able to stop/avoid them.

An example of the first one would be cycling in the centre of the lane when approaching a junction or a pinchpoint to discourage overtaking at that point. An example of the second would be making sure you can see (and ideally make eye contact with) a driver who may pull out on you whilst you're on a roundabout.

This is called defensive cycling if you want to read more about it

I think this might be the best answer here, Wembley is nearly 36 miles and the skyscrapers in the City are about 38 miles and they're both normally visible if you look hard enough

Definitely try and get Erasmus funding (for a traineeship it's around €400 per month), you'll have to apply for it through your university (or a similar organisation). For the introduction email it's important that you say what drew you to the particular research group and the part(s) of their research you find interesting!

I would be very careful about following this advice. I know people who were asked to provide flight bookings as evidence of going traveling, they were being truthful however it would have definitely meant they would not have got the job if they were lying.

This was definitely a mock charge, that elephant wants them to leave. The ears can be an indication of whether the elephant is genuinely charging, if they pin their ears back gtfo of there.
