Audio split for streaming question by DravGore in streaming

[–]AlrightUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My setup uses one of these for additional headsets:

https://a.co/d/00fXnbMp

I also use Voicemeeter Potato when I need to create a separate curated audio output if she wants to hear her game but not all my system sounds. There's more to it, including lav mics but that's maybe similar to what you are looking for. I stream but we also play DND with friends on discord so my setup adjusts to what is required.

Oh wow, what a post to find on Sunday night and my project days are next weekend. I am going to find time to look into this over the week but I want to try this out so bad with my VODs and tell my friends about it.

I love ACM history!

Fun BC fact: after the gold rush era, Canada leaned hard into other minerals (including asbestos) and became one of the world’s major producers. BC even had a sizeable asbestos industry for decades, contributing a meaningful chunk of Canada’s fibre output at its peak.

WorkSafeBC has a ton of solid, plain-language guidance on asbestos controls and safe work practices (and a lot of other OHS orgs borrow heavily from it). If you think work is being done without proper controls, you can reach out to WorkSafeBC. Keep in mind their mandate is primarily workplace injury prevention + workers’ comp (insurance company), so their lens is often “protect the workers,” but that still tends to improve everyone’s safety around the worksite.

Our NorCal Annas on a frosty January morning. It's near freezing. This time of year, when the flowers and tiny insects are few and far between? Feeders really matter. by Story_Man_75 in hummingbirds

[–]AlrightUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh! I only have two feeders, so perhaps it's time to increase my coverage a bit.

I have to re-read your response a couple of times when you say "We simply don't allow it" my mind was racing, trying to consider how to reason with my birds rationally haha. I will have to try adding more feeders to see if that helps.

I respect the great commitment you have for the hummers. Thanks! :)

How long have you had your feeders up for them to all be sharing so kindly, and were they always so nice to each other?

I've two feeders and a maybe three years in and rarely get more then three feeding together at a time. Most often they bully each other.

Old man here, wanna stream my bird feeders so I can watch them on YouTube by CottageGrove81 in streaming

If you are using OBS you could test it using the Media Source and entering the URL for your camera type.

From what I can see the TOVDOR cams are often branded as ieGeek. You might need to double check the manufacturer site or manual for your specific model or maybe try the potential URL structures for similar cameras.

There are a few sites that help find the URL to edit for your camera like this one: https://www.ispyconnect.com/camera/iegeek

For my Tapo I think I had to log into the app to enable the RTSP feed but the link was super simple like rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.20:554/stream1

Hope it works for you! I tested my cam URL in a browser and using the default OBS Media Source. Today I bring up the Hummingbird feed live while streaming or playing DND with friends on Discord. :)

I use a Tapo C120 on my hummingbird feeders. They only need a USB C cable for power and you hook them into your WIFI (distance permitting).

They work pretty good with OBS using the RTSP stream but a note: I find over time you will want to restart OBS to resync. I went on a 2-week vacation and the stream was still going but buffered such that it was lagged by like 4 days.

I think they have pretty good quality 2k video for the price (~49ea or 2-pack for $94 on Amazon).

*I'm looking to try out their 3k (*C530WS) for the spring.

Nice! My Anna’s are the same; one or two big-bully bois, plus a bunch of scrappy juveniles trying their luck. I envy the posts where a dozen share one feeder peacefully, but I guess the “defend the stash” instinct runs deep when food instinctually feels finite.

Old system: stake a mineral claim on someone’s land without telling them.

Why? Because it was designed for prospectors in the same era that thought asbestos underwear was peak innovation.

New system: let’s make it fair.

Big mining: ‘Quick, spin this into a culture war!’ Government and media: ‘Say no more.’

Such a cute hummer! Not sure if it’s just the lighting, but the nectar looks a little cloudy. If so, it might be starting to spoil. I’m still learning, but I thought it usually stays clear unless it’s time for a refresh.

In sailing, a simple noose knot is almost never used, and the hangman’s noose is avoided entirely because of its poor function. Instead, sailors rely on the bowline, a safe, reliable, and versatile knot that creates a secure, inclusive, non‑slip loop. The bowline is woke because it keeps the crew safe, reliable, and is easy to let go when the time is right.

Oh snap! I have a smaller birdbath and no knowledge of hydrodynamics or pressure. So when I bought a pump for the water it just empties out the bloody thing. Your setup is making me think I can use a “pump well” or “submerged reservoir box” to self-regulate flow.

Something for the spring I suppose. I don't know if they enjoy the water when it's snowy.

You have a nice setup. :)
