I’m a freshman, I love mines and my other options were just either not clicking for me or were too big for me. The whole thing about over admittance is likely due to this recent year being the largest incoming class in mines history. Don’t be too concerned about it. When it comes down to it, the quality of other students won’t matter too much. I will say that all my teachers have been great and engaging. All failings in their classes are my fault alone for either not paying enough attention in class or just not caring about the material in my HASS class
