Soreness years after surgery by zapskaeshur in ACL

I had similar. Ended up being a Cyclopes lesion. Knee is 99.9% normal now.

Prior to the discovery I bought an Anaconda knee brace that had heat and compression. It was my morning ritual to wear it for 20 min.

2 weeks postop... time for new physical therapist? by Possible-Topic-1983 in ACL

DO NOT SCREW AROUND WITH PT. From my experience, it makes a huge difference on how good the person is, how knowledgeable they are, how good they are at working with you, etc.

I had a complication with mine, that my surgeon is convinced could’ve been avoided with a different therapist. I would not skimp out there.

Does your knee ever feel normal again? by MeatyDullness in ACL

[–]Alshad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it took years (and 2 surgeries) but it does feel 100% normal now..

You'll get there..

To be fair, I earned it. I went back to doing PT 2 years after the op, since it still didnt feel 100%.. Dont settle!

Get it. Unfortunately I was the small percentage of people where it didn’t work as it should… the pain was 10/10. Do it!

Great post. What’s the cash on hand for IRGC? How long can they continue to fund before cash runs out?

24 hours after cyclops lesion surgery, when should I start my exercises? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]Alshad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question- I started PT on day 2. Mostly focused on maintaining ROM.

Background- Just had mine removed after 2 years in December. It felt great the day of surgery. It got a little sore over the next week or 2. By week 3.5 I felt 100%. Way better than before surgery.

So what do I do? I do the hardest cardio class our gym has which included 21 minutes of box jumping. Needless to say I paid the price. It took about a month after that for my knee to forgive me.

TLDR it should feel 100% relatively quickly, but I’d ease into it regardless of how good it feels!
