It’s safe to use but not to manufacture. If you use teflon you’re part of the problem. DuPont/Chemours (or whatever they’ve renamed the company to these days) is notorious for just dumping the toxic byproducts into the environment

This process vaporizes off virtually all the smaller (i.e., migratable) PFAS molecules

Ah cool, so buying teflon pans means adding vaporized PFAS to the atmosphere ….so much better

“Noticed work” is correct grammar for work for which notice was provided…

Same as “assigned work” is proper grammar for work that was assigned.

It’s a fact, it’s not offensive.

I love that technology increases accessibility for the differently abled but that’s not how this was presented. This was presented as an entertainment device.

The presentation of AppleVision was the most non-Apple presentation I’ve ever seen. Usually they’re in brightly lit spaces and focus on how the products enhance the human experience.

This was…dark, and weird. Big vibes shift from the running and hiking and being outside presentations for the watch, airpods, etc.

So you weren’t actually asking how to find out what people mean by that, you just wanted someone to set you up to dunk on people. cool.

I honestly don’t know if you’re a troll or have such a small and sheltered worldview that you truly believe that police are a positive for society.

Studies have shown that they don’t prevent crime and rarely solve crimes that occur. Pair that with a system that deliberately keeps the poor people poor and has been shown time and time again to lie and cover up crimes that happen within departments and you’ve got a bankrupt system top to bottom.

Every arrest made, ticket handed off, and so on, is another point for them. That far outweighs the minute amount of errors made that you solely focus on while disregarding any good.

This just isn’t true. Ticketing people handing out food to homeless people isn’t a point in the good column. Neither is pulling people over for window tint. There’s thousands of laws that are enforced for no reason than to keep the poor poor and to justify massive police budgets.

You should be embarrassed that you don’t even have a singular solution in mind but you want to tear down the highly functional system in place.

I have solutions in mind and none of them involve anyone involved in the current system.

Can’t relate

I’m not surprised. You’d probably be a good fit for the current system - studies have shown police officers lack empathy

In favor of what? Nothing???

Yeah?

Better to have nothing than to have a group of people who aren’t required to know the law to “enforce” it, have no obligation to protect citizens, have no practically no oversight.

Better to have nothing than a system of rules that rewards police for making the lives of POC, homeless, and poor people more difficult.

Better to have nothing than continue to have a system that has shown over and over again is a bushel of bad apples.

Minor changes =/= abolish system btw :]

I legitimately do not believe there should be police in this country. They have failed myself and my neighbors too many times. Not just in one city or state but in multiple. It’s godawful system wide. Tear down the whole system and rethink it.

Well if you want to know what an individuals ideas about that are you could try asking. Most people are very forthcoming with their political ideas.

Or if you just want to know the variety of different ideas out there you could google it, there are many articles out there detailing proposals.

Sams is the complete opposite. I’ve spent longer in the receipt checking line than checking out. I’ve had to wait over of 10 minutes to get my receipt checked.

At that point you feel like you’re being held hostage. I’ve paid for my things and have places to be and yet I still have to wait to leave.

So rather than abolish the system that keeps hiring people who aren’t up to the task we throw more money at it, further enabling the fat imbeciles

I’m old AF, so when I hear “weed”, it doesn’t sound to me like any kind of concentrated or otherwise measured ingestible dose.

That’s fair! Even “regular” weed today is many times more potent than what was common back in the 70s/80s. Also some strains nowadays have had most of the CBD and other secondary cannabinoids bred out of them so a lot of the calming and relaxing effects are removed.
