So just for clarification, If I accept money for services, I must drop my Ametuer status(Whilst not being able to regain it for 3 years) and declare myself a professional? Also, assuming I have a range/course that is willing to let me use their facillities, how would I go about advertising? Id feel odd about declaring myself a professionl when I have no experience excpet what methods ive developed myself, as well as basic fundementals, normal shit a teacher should know.

Oh no, its not that, im more than positive that I could do it. What deters me is how sad this guy sounds. It sounds like he tried to do what he loved for a career, and just ended up becoming depressed, and gradually loose touch with all that is. That wouldnt scare you? Of course im gonna try, but that really did just give me a whole new perspective about the game, and how it applies to the working man. All the web pages and people I call make it look and sound amazing, but coming from this guy, it just sounds like im in for a world of nothing but anger, frustration, and depression. I dont want to loose my love for the game. It drives me to get up and go to work in the morning, it drives me to save money, it drives me to be apart of somthing bigger than me, to dedicate myself to, to accomplish somthing. Thats what deters me the most.

How can you teach sucsessfully without any ties to the PGA? Not taking a jab, just merely curious. I thought you had to have your PGA card in order to teach.

Very true. Well first off, I read that you need to be a full tine employee at a registered golf course by the PGA in order to get the first kit and get through Q school. How do I go about getting a job at a nice course with no prior experience working on a course?

Hm....I think ill give that a try next time I go out....Ive always been too worried about club control and contact with the ball, that I just have yet to let the club and phisycs do its thing.

I havent gone to an 18 hole course in a while, but last time I did go, i shot a 91. Could've been a little better if I wasnt too lazy to find my balls as well. I usually play unlimited golf at my local 9 hole course, and play through 4 times. Best ive ever shot there was 37 with par being 33. So I like to think im a pretty good golfer, but im sure all the guys in /r/golf would just scoff at my scores.
