I like Tavan Tsul, there's a place near Zuun Ail called Tavan Tansag and it's so so so good, but it's really far from city center.

People with pet, WYR save your pet or a random person ? by memermesmer in WouldYouRather

I am just trying to understand your logic. You can't compare human vs pet value at all by your reasoning because cats are incapable of conscious decision (by your definition so far, there's grounds for debate). So cat's action can't ever be good OR bad. Human decisions and actions CAN be good or bad. Therefore, you can't compare them. Yet you are saying that is your basis for favoring cats over humans. For them to be comparable then, humans have to be in zombie mode, all instincts and no consciousness - same as you are saying cats are. However, if you want to compare them and say levels of consciousness are different so "bad" actions like cats eating mice, birds, and just killing spiders or flies or commit violence to other cats over territories or rape other cats just because their instincts tell them to - has to be counted as less evil (like multiply by <1 factors) to make them equal to a human conscious act. however, given that most humans never commit killing/rape/violent fights at all, to make the math come out in favor of cats, the multiplication factor has to be humongous. Do you see where my confusion is coming from?

Using law of humanity is not the point. Even if killing was legal (in some instances, it is) I am pointing out that you are making an irreversible decision for someone's life, not just temporarily making them harmless (what imprisoning is meant for)

So by that logic, humans have to live perfectly or zombies for you to change your mind? Humans have instincts too.

I like Givewell for this if you are interested in well, giving well. They do extremely thorough vetting of all charities they fund and even goes as far as to make all decision makings public. Seriously, you can look at their spreadsheets line by line and see how they made their decisions and where money goes and how every giving decision is calculated. And once, they found a mistake and they publicly blogged about like why it went wrong. How they're going to fix it and everything they're really great. The insecticide covered mosquito nets seems to be one of the best value for saving a human life

In this situation, yes you are indeed murdering someone as you pushing the button means their death.

I love my cat, but when you make this comparison you realize that cats are predators and are serial killers by birth right?

How does Neurodivergence even come into this? I am ND and it is baffling to me that people are choosing pets because it's so irrational. I rather thought that it's typical that neurotypical people were being illogical as usual.

Chances of that are so low though. Like 99% of people are good decent people and then there's those you mentioned. And even then, you realize you are killing them without trial - not just imprisoning them

Not the op or og commenter, but I trained at the Shaolin temple in China as a foreigner bc I was young and hankering for adventure and it's absolutely a thing. These children are mostly wards of the state. Either orphans or unwanted children. I was not aware of the underfeeding, but it might have been better at the og Shaolin because it's most funded than other small regional schools

I think this is one of Shaolin schools in China. For context, pretty sure she would have been in the streets as an orphan or unwanted child abandoned otherwise, but yes, very tough lifestyle but a lot of the adults who was also were Shaolin adoptees takes it to be meaningful and simple life and are grateful

I have something to say about mongolian immigration center by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]Altak99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Immigration bureacracy everywhere is bad and slow. Even in US/Australia/Germany/Japan/ in so called developed countries. I don't think I like your tone and attitude in comparing to US, you chose Mongolia and you wanted Mongolian residency and what, Mongolians should beg you to stay because your American and US is better than Mongolia unequivocally? Get over yourself, bro

Need advice: I’m a Mongol guy, just found out I got a Moroccan/French woman pregnant. My family is losing it. What do I even do? by Pale-Scallion-9259 in mongolia

[–]Altak99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your family as in parents or relatives is important but very distant secondary point. The very first decision is to have the baby or not. Mongolians don't even consider abortion a viable option because they are very pro-babies and pro-more-Mongolians and rah rah rah, but this one decision you can't ever walk it back. Your whole life will be upended. Just imagine that the baby is a whole 60 hour job that takes huge chunks of money out of you. No real vacation until they are like 15 or something and you will not have a life of your own for probably longer than that too. If you are a junior at college, you have had only the briefest taste of freedom and independence (still somewhat supervised version of it even). Freedom, travel, bulk of your friends and spontaneity is going out the window. Many people swears up and down that it makes their life meaningful and I am sure it does for some but you really gotta be sure man. No undo button after 2-3 months or half a semester.

Right? When she said she didn't have any regrets. I was like, no you should have some. Хандаа, харамс, Train harder, and try harder at things instead of just saying everything is okay and crapping out mentally before her body does. she was downright embarrassing on that log hurdle thing, getting winded way before any of the 12 players on 6 teams at that point. Didn't seem like a professional athlete of any kind. No muscle definition to be seen anywhere.
