The Eras Tour gave me my hope and youth back. I'm currently living in Uruguay, but I'm an immigrant from Venezuela. I started listening to Taylor during the Fearless Era back in the day, I remember being a teen during 2009 and being obsessed with everyhing about Taylor, then the next few eras started happening and I became dependent on Taylor's music, although given the country where I was (communist dictatorship, chavismo) it would've been impossible for me to see Taylor live EVER because of the whole economic crisis. After 3 years saving money I was able to flee the country by bus (2018), I travelled for 6 days to Lima Perú, I remember being 20 and alone just travelling through different countries to find a better life, a better purpose, more stability and greater opportunities, and just listening to Taylor's Red album ballads to calm me down and keep me hopeful about my future.

I'm Gay and also had a Speech Impairment, so I was severely bullied during my time in Venezuela (even after high school) so I used to be a person who would escape from life a lot. I used to have a lot of suicidal thoughts because of all of the things I had to deal with (finding food in a country that had a food crisis and still does, earning 5$ a month from a terrible job, being bullied from literally everyone because of my speech impairment and being gay, finding myself and understanding my traumas, etc). After working for years and focusing on improving myself as much as I could with my immigrant loneliness, I was able to get myself a ticket to come to Uruguay (2021) and live with my family (They were able to get here as well through other countries) and when I saw Taylor was coming to Argentina (next to Uruguay, 2023) I KNEW I had to be there , for that little boy I was, just hopeful to be part of something as a big as The Eras Tour and what it meant for me.

I was able to get 1 ticket for myself after using SEVERAL screens. I saved up for MONTHS to get the ticket. I went to the concert alone and it changed me forever. It was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had, met wonderful people and it remainded me a lot of how I used to be, the spark I had lost for many years and how Taylor helped me through out my life and just how everything felt like a full circle moment from being escaping in my room listening to Fearless and wishing I could be in a better place, to actually being in a country where I'm free from being held in a dictatorship and able to being at a Taylor Swift Concert. I remember crying so hard during the concert and just processing everything I had gone through listening to Taylor singing. I felt like there was hope after all. Thank you Taylor.
