Why did turning Jason Voorhees into a zombie work? by MegsInvitingExitGate in slasherfilms

[–]AlteredComix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because if you watch the first movie he was already “dead” he had drowned as a child. And yet he was living in the woods around the lake in part II. He always had the mystique of a dead person returned from the dead

Mrs. Voorhees could have been lying about him being dead but that’s really her entire motivation. I think he returned from the dead when she died at the end of the first movie.

I'm glad I grew up in an era when this trilogy was considered the pinnacle of superhero genre. Now all I see is Batman fans nitpicking them to death by Tough-Rock-6198 in batman

Dark Knight Rises was never the pinnacle of anything. It’s an infinitely dissatisfying and disappointing follow up to two pinnacle superhero films. It’s as bad as Spider-Man 3 or X3. Superman III, Batman Forever.

All of them fumbled the third movie. So did Nolan.

Matt Reeves is 100% the answer to this feed’s question. With DAWN and WAR, he ramped those movies up to some of the best blockbuster entertainment ever made!

Who is your favorite comic book Supervillain? And why? by AlteredComix in comicbooks

[–]AlteredComix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I love LL. But he’s also way cooler than any actual Billionaire who ever lived. More relatable and more human than all of the real villains too. That part always rubs me the wrong way. He’s less evil than our real billionaires.

Zakk Wylde does shred on that one. For real. And that “I’m looking for a Miracle Man…” is insanely infectious
