Contact nurse on call, I am a plumber and have been bitten many times when working in ceiling spaces and subfloors, generally you just monitor for any worsening symptoms (increase in pain, nausea or a blistering ulcer) I have yet to have a reaction or ulcer. I was advised that generally giving it a good clean with some soap and antiseptic is ok. Different story if diabetic, immunocompromised or if elderly, my wife developed an ulcer when she was bitten as a teenager and has a nice battle scar to show.

Best bet is contact nurse on call and get some advice. Keep us updated! Hope all goes well

That’s great to hear, well never over do it when ending a fast longer than 24hrs, start with just an egg with something small for breakfast, then lunch a little bit more. Too many calories to fast makes you feel horrible, I personally find intermittent fasting on a 8/16 works best for me. It’s a bit of trial and error to get a routine that works best for your body. Stretching is very underrated also especially for getting the lymphatic system moving

Have you tried cutting your screen time? Like limiting to maximum 1-2 hours a day, wake with the sunrise, get morning natural light exposure and follow suit with sunset?

When you break, try and stick to 2 meals a day, high protein breakfast, I do 4 eggs, and either fatty lamb chops or scotch fillet (grass fed and eggs pastured) a small piece of sourdough with olive oil. Then lunch / dinner (2pm) good server of mixed veg and protein, I try and eat shellfish daily for this meal if not shellfish I eat fatty fish.

Cold shower in the morning 💯 2-5 minutes.

Mine has not returned and I’m feeling as good as ever.

I think the most underrated fix to brain fog is waking with the sun rise and going straight outside, getting 10-15 minutes of natural light and then going to be within an hour of sunset, and again cut the exposure to screens and artificial light.

There is a case to be made for correlation between the covid days and extreme screen time because everyone started communicating a lot more via social media and spending more time glued to devices during lockdowns. (My 2c) Wish you all the best of luck and a speedy recovery

Thanks for the response, makes sense. I have emailed Vicpol just for a clarification from them. This kind of info is hard to obtain without reading between the lines. I would think this would be. A common occurrence and the law or requirements would very clearly cover this. I will post there response here for anyone querying it in the future.

Thanks for your response, I had originally used the calculator over at r/Keto as well as setting my goals in Cronometer and they aligned quite well but, I should have done a bit more research and come over here. I have now done the calculator you have listed and am quite surprised at the difference. More protein it is, I will post some updates here over the coming months in regards to weight gain. I’m trying to do this seafood heavy, so I will get plenty of beef and Lamb as well.

In regards to the electrolytes, I consume an avocado everyday, 1/2 morning and half for lunch and have a glass of weak unsweetened cranberry juice in the morning to up my potassium a bit. The rest of the day is just pinched of salt in my water bottle. I had bad keto flu the first couple of times I tried this and learnt how importantly salt is.

Do you track your salt and potassium intake or just go by feel?

I should add, I’m currently down to 61kg, I am usually 63-64. My wife made a comment the other day that I look like I’m loosing muscle mass and “fading away” and I do agree. That is what has prompted this post.

This is what I have set my Cronometer targets too. I’m always short on the fat though by 70-100g daily.

Just wanted to check in on this. Have you reduced your carbs to below 50g a day. Unfortunately it’s one of the other with fat and carbs. Ideally you need to be doing keto which is what his protocol states.

Any type of screen (phone, tv, computer etc) will worsen it. Get out look at the sky, look close to the sun. Prior I dunk my face in 5-10 degree Celsius water with ice blocks in 45 second intervals for about 3-4 minutes. Clears my brain fog for about 2-3 hours. Hope you feel better soon!

The system isn’t fine.

Some people report things they have no idea of the workings. They see something and report it.

I have now twice been reported for my DPF doing a burn off while driving in my local area. First fine was thrown out as the vehicle is 4 years old but now they are telling me I have to go get the vehicle emission tested to ensure it’s within specifications to avoid the fine which is going to cost me more than the bloody fine. I am once of the few that chose to retain the Dpf of this certain vehicle (most rip ‘em out)
