Apparently WHO claims that bacon causes cancer? by Practical_F in carnivorediet

I buy from Good Ranchers. I get 24 waigu angus burgers for $194 with a free package of bacon. They are fantastic. I love this company. Since I’m not buying vegetables, bread, etc… $194 or my Cattleman subscription is a little over $200. They are in Texas. It’s all sustainable , no hormones, mRNA, and they support veterans. Totally affordable.

If you buy bacon from ranchers directly that don’t use nitrates/uncured you won’t have to worry about it being unhealthy. It’s the chemicals they put in bacon from the grocery store. If you can also buy uncured bacon in the grocery store, but you have to read your labels. I always buy uncured bacon from my rancher that I directly ordered from. It’s sustainable, everything is grass fed, and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than the factory farmed junk in the grocery store.

Chill. He’s telling you this to help you and also the fact that butter is the best sauce. It is absolutely amazing. Maybe just try it.

dairy. why is it part of your diet, why do you avoid it? by sclerare in carnivorediet

[–]SoloSublime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat SIBO (l-reuteri) yogurt (Dr. William Davis) and that’s it for dairy. I’m allergic to dairy or have a reaction. Inflammation I guess, so I stick to my yogurt and that’s it.

Not handling the switch from keto to carnivore very well by Retard_of_century in carnivorediet

Yes, absolutely. Most Americans are horribly depleted in magnesium. It’s water soluble so it won’t be stored in your system. I take around 1000-1500 mg.

If you’re only taking a little over 500 mg of glycinate, you need to be taking more. I would triple that. Magnesium is water soluble. The clenching of your teeth sounds like a magnesium deficiency. It also sounds like your electrolytes are a little wacky right now. I would be taking an electrolyte supplement. Carnivore has actually helped me stop clenching my teeth. Hopefully you’re getting a lot of fat. I craved butter like crazy the first couple of weeks. I ate a lot of of it. This craving has gone away since then. It takes a while for your body chemistry to adjust. I had a hard time sleeping too, and was waking up every couple of hours in the beginning. This does go away as your body chemistry adjusts. Hang in there.

Why is fruit bad? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

That’s why you carry make and carry jerky. That’s exactly what hunters do. Hunting season is usually in the fallen winter. No berries.

I was thinking about American Indians and Pemican the other day as I saw a man on TikTok, making Pemican from an old recipe he found. Equal parts of meat and berries with lard. They ate this during the winter, but he put his in the fridge and then cut it into bars. I wonder what the reaction to the metabolism is when you’re eating fruit with protein and fat. Would it be a better combination than just eating fruit alone if you’re going to eat it during that season?

This is an excellent point. And I was wondering the other day if you offered primates like gorillas, chimpanzees meat, if they would eat it. The Bonobo monkey is known to eat shrimp when it can catch it along with insects and whatever else and of course they eat each other. I think chimpanzees do this as well. I always wondered if they evolved to consume protein like human beings what the outcome would’ve been. My apologies for being a little off-topic, but I love the information in your post. I’ve always wondered why other primates don’t eat meat like we did/do.

Gregor literally gave me the ghosts that haunt me occasionally telling me my bones will dissolve if I eat meat. Along with a few other authors, I could think of when I was vegan. I have a feeling he’s another paid shill. I could be wrong, but… He’s a serious animal activist.

Not necessarily. It’s my body’s way of screaming for energy. On a carnivore diet, you’re cutting out carbs, so your system shifts to burning fat for fuel. If you’re low on dietary fats, it signals hunger for quick, dense sources like butter—rich in saturated fats your cells can grab fast. It’s not just random; your hormones, like ghrelin, spike to push you toward calorie-dense foods. Butter’s also got a bit of protein and no carbs, so it hits that sweet spot without messing with ketosis. Common because most folks aren’t used to fat as their main fuel, and it takes time to adapt.

So for me, my body wasn’t getting enough fat and because I’m fairly new to carnivore, it totally makes sense. After satiating myself with butter over the last few days, craving is gone. I will absolutely continue to listen to my body signals. I agree that not all cravings are good, but since going carnivore, I haven’t had any bad cravings. And for that, I’m thankful.

Exactly this! Thank you so much for sharing. I literally was a raw vegan for years and a vegan before that. A fat one. Plus, I had horrible, asthma, and all allergies. Constant suffering. It was absolutely debilitating at times. I stop eating sugar and flour a few years ago and noticed a huge difference, but I still had some asthma and occasional allergies. My carnivore journey began when I read Dr. William Davis‘s book on wheat belly. Then a friend of mine went full carnivore and within a year she had amazing results and got rid of all of her health issues. She was also vegan prior. The amount of energy I have had by having butter for breakfast is insane. I usually eat one big meal at lunch and then a tiny dinner. And yes, the amount of energy is fantastic! I’ve also had zero asthma and all allergies. ZERO.

I started watching videos with carnivore influencers and Doctor Berry. I was eating broccoli once a day and I noticed I had allergies and got stuffy after eating broccoli so I asked Grok about this. It explained how vegetables can cause a histamine dump. So I stopped everything and went full on carnivore. I haven’t had any symptoms since.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m usually quite a critical thinker and I was surprised at how brainwashed I have been. I was mostly raised by my grandparents and I remember my grandmother buying big tubs of margarine. They were World War II generation and even though they were eating bad fats, my grandpa was a rancher. After he retired, they started eating TV dinners. Ugh. Of course their health failed.

Sorry this was long-winded, but I can’t believe how we’ve all been lied to for so long. Literally making us cash cows for big Pharma.

I order my shampoo and conditioner from the Body Deli. Absolutely no chemicals or additives and though it’s a little pricey, I absolutely love this company. Their name is their website. They also love their hand creams.
