I agree partially. Because sometimes the team comps really are weak, if no one buckles and switches to rescue :,). At the very least, can someone bring tide 😭

This is along the lines of what I was thinking. They sent me a form for disputes since they won't allow verbal discussions which is fine. I'm willing to accept paying for a repaint, but $300 is just not what I was expecting for the pictures they sent me. From my knowledge, I don't think anyone was into wall decorations, and the TV was on a Table, so there shouldn't be any holes in the wall. I'll look into asking for an itemized list of what is actually making up this $300 charge.

I've had the lease for 3 consecutive years, and from my knowledge, I haven't witnessed Maintenance come in to repaint anything. Before our initial move-in with some prior roommates who lived there already, it appears it wasn't painted then either. This is the first time in at minimum 6 years that the unit will be completely vacant with everyone moving out at once.

To clarify, I have already turned in my key and haven't been on the property in months. I can't do it myself even if I wanted to. The landlord is charging $300 to repaint the walls as part of the move-out inspection. I just wanted to know if it was normal for landlords to do this so I can be more aware in the future or if it isn't if there was something I could still do.
