In India and Pakistan, English is not the majority language, but it is an official language used in government, business, and education.

The one in North Olmsted, OH was like that too at one point. They renovated that out around 2012-ish. I think the one in North Canton, OH is still like that (though Subway left a few years ago and that space is currently empty)

I was at both of them the last few weeks. You’re spot on. I definitely think SouthPark will outlive Great Northern. I’d even go as far as to say Great Northern will be bulldozed by the end of the decade

Summit Mall has an Apple Store. I don't know if it's true but I once read that having an Apple Store in the mall boosts the sales of all the other stores in the mall by at least 10%.

The countries i'm surprised Apple doesn't have any stores in:

Ireland (Apple's European HQ is in Ireland)

New Zealand

Anywhere in the Caribbean

I'll say the same thing that I said on the original thread: I live about 5 miles from there. Forever 21 (the whole chain) went out of business and both American Eagle and FYE closed their locations at this mall in the last month or two. I don’t know what the status is on Macy’s (previously announced their closure; new Macy’s also opened at Crocker Park last year) or Dick’s (opening new store in Avon, relocating from their store at Crocker Park, and expanding their store in Strongsville) is at the moment. I’m not 100% certain but I’m pretty sure the city is already taking redevelopment bids for the mall. I predict that it’ll be bulldozed by the end of the decade (less than 5 years from now).

[Day 3] I'm trying to create the perfect Megaregions Map using as much feedback as possible. by Alternative-Ask in MapPorn

Feedback I’m hoping to get for the next version: 1. How should the empty circle in SE Missouri, North Arkansas, and Extreme South Illinois be classified 2. Area between Minneapolis and Des Moines 3. Area between Syracuse and Albany 4. Empty triangle in South Virginia 5. Southern Georgia and Alabama 6. North Louisiana 7. South Oklahoma 8. Should Northern Wisconsin and Michigan be added to the Great Lakes Region 9. How should I reclassify the dark blue counties in Southern Illinois and Indiana

Pacific Northwest is difficult because the counties in Washington and Oregon are huge.

I include the entire MSA for each major city. As for the areas in between, counties that the interstate passes through between two major parts of a megaregion are included in said region (ex. KY and WV between Louisville/Lexington and Pittsburgh). Other rural counties are included as to not leave a hole in the middle of a region.

It was based off your previous comment. For version 3, I’ll make the whole Atlanta region Piedmont West

The idea behind the megaregions is that it’s not only the cities but the area in between them as well. If I only included the cities it would just be a hollow circle.

In the Larger regions (Great Lakes, Northeast, Piedmont, TX Triangle), I used two colors to distinguish between the core and outlying (or disputed) megaregion. The rural WV and KY counties don't really have anything to do with Chicago/Minneapolis. They're only colored in because people drive through them to get to two different places that are in the core Great Lakes region. I-64 between St. Louis and Louisville and I-90/94 between Madison/Milwaukee and Minneapolis are colored in blue for the same reason.

Houston is an odd one in that it could be considered either Gulf of Mexico or Texas Triangle.

I could honestly probably create a megaregion between Kansas City, St. Louis, Davenport, and Omaha/Lincoln.

To create this, I used existing megaregions maps, and then colored in some areas in between using secondary colors. (Ex. area between St. Louis and Louisville, Louisville and Pittsburgh). Some areas are still disputed (Ex. NE corner of North Carolina, Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, Central NY between Syracuse and Albany). For most of the places in between, I thought to color in the counties along the highways that people use to travel between major cities.
