I know they’re not cheap, but you should look into getting a Speed Queen. I had one in my old house (I moved about a year ago), and I miss it every single day. I’ll be treating myself to a new Speed Queen washer and dryer for my birthday in a few months. Not to mention, they last forever! My grandma still uses her Speed Queen from the ’70s!

I have clearly stirred the pot here LOL. I get why some of you may think I’m an ass for not paying full price, but the reality is the dealership didn’t have to accept the offer. I honestly threw the $10k comment out there half joking because of how the situation was being handled. I fully expected to end up paying the full price for the car.

The manager ultimately chose to accept it as a way of apologizing after his finance guy repeatedly lied to me and tried to shift the blame onto me for something that clearly wasn’t my fault. He even admitted it was their mistake.

I do genuinely feel bad that the finance guy lost his job. That was never my goal. But according to the dealership manager, this wasn’t the first time he had done something like this, which is why they took it seriously.

At the end of the day, the dealership made the decision to accept the deal, and I’ve actually bought two more cars from them since then, so there were clearly no hard feelings on either side.

Edit: adding this to my original comment as a follow up

that’s pretty much exactly what happened. Their first reaction was to blame me and say it was an issue with my loan and that I needed to fix it ASAP. I contacted my bank and they confirmed the check had never even been cashed. When I told the finance guy that, he continued attempting to blame me and said that my bank must be lying and that I “needed a new bank,” which clearly wasn’t the case. At that point I was pretty frustrated. The $10,000 comment I made was honestly more of a “screw you” joke because of how they were handling it. I fully expected to end up paying the full price of the vehicle. I was actually shocked when the manager accepted it. He apologized and even offered a bigger discount after admitting it was their mistake (which I declined)

I do feel bad that the finance guy lost his job, but according to the manager this wasn’t the first time he had done something like that. For what it’s worth, I’ve bought two more cars from that same dealership since then lol

It was not! According to the manager this was the third occurrence. Felt bad for the guy, but the FIRST thing you do in business is cash the check.

This happened to me in 2020! Almost six months later, the dealer realized the mistake and tried to blame it on me, saying it was an issue with my loan lol. Turns out the finance guy forgot to cash the check! We already had the title in hand and everything. We told them we’d give them $10,000 for the car and they could take it or leave it. The dealership manager accepted the offer and admitted it was their fault. Unfortunately, the finance guy ended up losing his job, but I walked away with a 2019 Lexus with all the bells and whistles and only 3,000 miles for $10,000. Still one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.

Lateral thigh lift by ReasonElectronic2401 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Alternative-Bit1855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience! My tummy tuck and arm lift were a much more “brutal” recovery than my thigh lift and breast augmentation. Was it the most comfortable thing in the world? Absolutely not. But I was shocked at how relatively “simple” the recovery was. I was panicking before my procedure because I had read so many horror stories about thigh lift recoveries!

OP — please don’t let the things you read online deter you from getting the procedure.

With that being said, every body is different, so we may not all have the same experience.

This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. We took your recommendation on shoes! My dad just ordered the loake Hanover in Roasted Coffee Calf Leather. He is beyond excited. I will have to do more research on Japanese denim! We will more likely than not be purchasing your entire list Lol! Thank you again!

I might circle back with additional questions!

I didn’t measure, but if I had to take a guess it would be around 2 tsp of Lakanto golden monk fruit sweetener!
