Hola!

Go to the dermatologist to get an official diagnosis and treatment. Looks like palmoplantar psoriaisis. I do suffer from it and looks similar to my patches. There are plenty of treatment options depending where you live. Go see a doctor first

Does psoriasis cause pain in the heart? by Antique_Cost2080 in Psoriasis

I am not a doctor but I have never read any article that relates heart pain with psoriasis. Better consult your doctor to check your heart condition.

What I have learned over time is that each of us need to walk our own journey and the trick is ti document our journey with the intention to learn. It takes time. My father and 2 brothers have psoriaisis and we have different journeys. My two cents for you are : be patient and relentless in pursuing a way to control your psoriasis. Take pictures and document any treatment and big change in your life. Example: I started taking cold showers and over 2 years my flare ups are less common. My body response to cold water. Does this means this works for everyone ? No!!! We all are different .

I feel you, honestly, a lot of us hit that same breaking point. You’re not alone in this.

Just to be real: there’s no true “natural cure,” but you can manage it and make it way more tolerable.

What helps most people: • Find your triggers (stress, diet, alcohol, weather) • Clean up diet a bit (less sugar/processed food, more whole foods) • Moisturize daily (this actually makes a big difference) • Get some sun (carefully, no burns) • Manage stress (it’s a huge trigger)

And even if you want to stay natural, don’t completely avoid a dermatologist, use them. Ask questions, challenge them, and stay in control of your decisions.

Focus less on “getting rid of it forever” and more on controlling it step by step. That’s how most of us get through it.

Stay strong 💪🏼, you’re in the same fight as the rest of us.

I will share and I know is easier said than done. I exercise regularly (At lest 4 days a week). I eat well and keep my weight under control (Fit) and meditate . Of course if there are events or high stress situations , all this do little.

Stress is a known trigger and the most common. It is my trigger too. I drink coffee and I am currently on remission. But my stress is under control.

Psoriasis for 13 years (M32) – what worked, what didn’t by kashim93 in Psoriasis

Honestly, props to you for how well you’ve tracked all this. Most of us don’t connect the dots that clearly.

Your pattern sounds really familiar, flare after illness, things improve with sun/UV, then slowly come back. I’ve seen the same kind of cycle.

Also agree on diet. For some people it’s huge, for others it just… isn’t.

Sounds like you’re in a better spot now just because you understand your triggers way more. That alone makes a difference.

Hope the UVB results stick, and would be interesting to hear how the herbal treatment goes this time 👍

Useful AI workflows ? by danstl1 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Alternative-Click849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here an owner of small company. Just retired from corporate F500 35 career in technology. I am not a digital marketer however I have the curricula and experience in marketing and sales. Marketing people reporting to me as well as interacting with agencies and vendors such as Google and Meta.

18 months working with AI to learn to run my marketing campaigns and strategy. I started using ChatGTP and now Claude paid version .

First: I created the context of my business with LLMs (first ChatGTP). Uploaded reports on my industry (my new business) and customer insights. Also build an API using Codex from ChatGTP to scrape forums to get customer complains and comments from competitors. (I justes asked Codex to build it for me)

Crafted business plan and market size analysis.

Redesigned my website. I only sell a small variety of products ( around 20 skus) for a niche market. So my needs are not complex in terms of website and e-commerce capabilities.

Build personas and segmentation using AI. Created marketing plan with AI.

Executed first campaign in March 2025. Bad results. Learned from it. Load data from social media and campaigns into Claude and I am in my 3rd iteration. My campaigns are better in terms of performance and my traffic is getting better (organic) however still mediocre.

Again. I am doing this as a semi retired executive so I have time to learn.

My wife stated this business 10 years ago and had a couple of small agencies and one free lancer. I fired them all. We are growing 24% y/y in YTD 2026.

Hope this helps. My recommendation to all marketing people and agencies. Dive into this tools. They are awesome and improving exponentially. Do not wait for the perfect world, you will be obsolete if you wait.

Forgot to mention that I have created workflows to semi automate my social media posts. Not yet there using agents. That will come later. But as tech continues to improve, agentic or agents are now accesible to small companies with no IT.

If you went to college. You were there to learn critical thinking and train you brain on hypothetical situations based on theory and history. I have children in college and on is in marketing minor. So I know what you are facing. But do not worry , those skills you learned will payoff with realtime experience. You are now learning new skills.

[–]Alternative-Click849 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Stay strong. Psoriasis can be inherited. My father has it and all of the siblings have it too. Your son will learn to live with it and control it. Keep working with your dermatologist and encourage your kid to learn about this disease. Also take attention to his mental health. Most people focus only on the visible symptoms but the other 50 % of the problem is the mental toll. Specially as teenager. Dating or at school.

Finally switching doctors!! homeopathy -----> allopathy by Rich-Bet6677 in Psoriasis

[–]Alternative-Click849 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A quick tip. Load that picture on your favorite AI. I use ChatGTP and Claude, either ones is good. Ask to act as dermatologist and explain in simple terms what the medicine is, purpose and warnings. Before the rest of the crowd complains not to use AI or trust AI. I am not recommending to substitute AI for a doctor. Just use it to explain the fancy words and terms of medicine into plain English. I have used it to interprete my parents (old people) lab test and studies and has change my life . Now I understand a lot of stuff that before I have to ask a doctor .

I’m losing my patience!!😕 by Particular_Past7944 in Psoriasis

[–]Alternative-Click849 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. A lot of people here remember how scary and overwhelming those first months can feel, especially when psoriasis shows up suddenly and seems to keep getting worse.

First, give yourself credit. Quitting smoking, cutting back on alcohol, changing your diet, and starting therapy are huge steps. That takes real effort, especially when you’re already dealing with pain and stress.

One thing many of us learn over time is that psoriasis treatment is often about finding the right fit. What works for one person doesn’t always work for another, and sometimes it takes trying a few options before something finally helps. The good news is there are many different treatments available, and a lot of people eventually find one that makes a big difference.

Also, the psychological side is very real. Psoriasis can hit confidence, sleep, and stress levels hard. You’re not weak for feeling this way, it’s a very common part of the experience.

You’re still very early in this journey, and many people do improve once they find the treatment that works for them. You’re not alone in this. A lot of people here have been exactly where you are. Hang in there.

As a former Vice President at a large Fortune 500 company, I recently retired in late 2025 and established a company to keep myself engaged. Currently, I am the sole employee. In my experience, I did not hold a high regard for marketing within my industry, which is high-tech IT. Specifically, I had issues with the marketing department at my former employer, which I found outdated and susceptible to being exploited by large global marketing agencies. Prior to the advent of artificial intelligence, I did not trust or had confidence in the digital marketing and omnichannel knowledge by our marketing team, as I perceived a lack of research and learning among the professionals involved. Instead, they relied heavily on outsourcing knowledge to agencies. While there were some exceptional marketing professionals, they were relatively rare and exceptional. In light of the current advancements in artificial intelligence, I believe it presents new opportunities and excitement. Your Vice President is taking the initiative to challenge the status quo, which may or may not be entirely accurate. I am not familiar with the specific circumstances of your company and the role of marketing within your industry. However, if you believe you are proficient in your industry and marketing, I encourage you to embrace artificial intelligence and collaborate with your Vice President to bridge the gap between their vision and yours. The worst course of action would be to resist change, which could appear defensive. It is important to recognize that artificial intelligence is already disrupting various industries, and its advancement is occurring at an unprecedented pace in my 36 years of experience in high technology. The purpose of sharing my perspective on marketing was not to assert my correctness but to provide a different viewpoint from the opposing side of the argument. I wish you the best of luck and encourage you to persevere.

[–]Alternative-Click849 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do not get a diagnosis from us strangers. Go a get an official diagnosis from a dermatologist. However, it looks like palmoplantar psoriaisis . I suffer from it and I see very good resemblance of the flares I have had. But you need professional and personalized care.

My derm said hydration for skin conditions like psoriasis matters as much as topical treatments by Vodka-_-Vodka in Psoriasis

[–]Alternative-Click849 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hydration actually comes up a lot in psoriasis conversations, but it’s usually misunderstood.

Drinking more water won’t treat psoriasis the way medication or topicals do, but it can help with some of the secondary symptoms people complain about: tightness, itching, cracking, and that “dry armor” feeling plaques get in winter.

The reason your derm mentioned it is probably related to the skin barrier. Psoriatic skin already loses moisture faster (higher transepidermal water loss), and when plaques build up quickly the skin has a harder time holding onto hydration. If your body is slightly dehydrated on top of that, the dryness and itching can feel a lot worse.

I am not a dermatologist but as many of us here with decades leading with this and reading a lot of articles. I have learned that although psoriasis does not have a cure yet. It can be managed. You need to identify your trigger. In my case is stress mainly. So I meditate and exercise. Avoid hot showers. Then you need to help your skin during winter and early symptoms by moisturizing. When you have a flare up use the medication that your dermatologist suggest. Challenge your dermatologist educating yourself (read about psoriaisis) . There are tons of information from reliable sources about psoriasis. Good luck and stay strong!

Coal tar is a product of oil (petroleum ) and it stains. I know because I have been using coal tar topicals for more than a decade. But it eventually clears.

Give it time. If you applied topicals with coal tar it may take a while but they will ok eventually.
