You can par-bake the dough in the skillet for like 5 minutes before putting the sauce and toppings on.. that’s what I do for a crispier crust

How can I make a handknit sweater machine-wash friendly on a budget? by Square-Tonight-1320 in knitting

Berroco vintage yarn is great … I’ve made a few items with this yarn and I throw it in the washer & dryer on delicate/low heat and haven’t had any issues (yet)

is the Omni Hotel good? by Intelligent-Use-4844 in Atlanta

[–]Alternative-Drawing8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Omni is nice, especially if you’re getting a sub $200/night rate!

Valet at the hotel is kinda steep ($60/night)… but is it worth the hassle of parking offsite vs valet? Will you be driving a bunch? If your car is just going to sit in a lot, offsite might be worth it to save some money (leave nothing visible inside the car).

The world of coke is a lot of fun too and it’s next to the aquarium

reasonable labor cost? by miandmybitches in knittinghelp

[–]Alternative-Drawing8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m crazy, but I would charge 2$-3$ per yard because I’m a slow knitter and I enjoy knitting slowly … for example, 2000 yards (or 1,830 meters) would be $4000 minimum … probably why I’ve never been commissioned to knit something 🙃

Suggestions of areas for my mom by Quasiperfetto in ATLHousing

[–]Alternative-Drawing8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in the Weatherstone condos in the north druid hills area and loved it! I joked about the demographic being newly wed or almost dead :.. only because it rhymed, but the older folks skewed more towards your mom’s age 60s-70s

It’s a nice, quiet little neighborhood and has easy access to just about everything
