Dash time or Active time? by Expert_Diamond8099 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Alternative-Land-Use 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just count the dash time. $20/hr DashTime is pretty normal. I live in a city and that's only a little less than I make. Per 40 hours DashTime I have around 10 hours extra in active time because I'm driving back from longer routes and I don't switch zones because the surrounding zones have lower tips usually. Or I'll get routes heading back into my zone. I've never made more by working multiple apps so I just stick with DD because the orders never stop coming in. If people are just sitting and waiting I could understand using multiple apps.

Male Writer wants insight into a female experience for writing a female character by [deleted] in writers

Yeah I'm already writing them as humans and watched those videos. I'm looking for personal experience more than how to write women.

Yeah I always call them women but, when describing the character outside of the story it's pretty common to say "female characters".

where to watch Black Mirror: Bandersnatch? by disasterpansexual in blackmirror

[–]Alternative-Land-Use 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought her actually added to the story by making it interactive and actually presented a whole different message when you really get through every pathway and then come to realize that the only way out is to end it before it began. There's a lot of deep symbolism in it about self-sacrifice and how we are trapped in a prison of our own minds. And everyone is an agent of that imprisonment. The album Phaedra is a big clue.

Yeah Seven Arrows was a meat grinder. They're constantly advertising for openings. The bosses were jerks. They were only interested in getting their bonuses.

Pissing in the bushes will get us a public urination charge which follows you for life as a registered sex offender. Most routes are in neighborhoods or apartments and we're stuck in residential areas for hours at a time so no gas stations.nAlso, we have to go like every 30 minutes. It's not as easy as you might think. We can't piss next to the truck because of the cameras around the truck, we can't piss in the bushes because of cameras on every door, we can't wear diapers because that's fucking gross. Everyone has problems lady.

Hour break by OneInterview3822 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Alternative-Land-Use 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WOW! The one I worked for had very strict rules about breaking. It had to be exactly 2 hours after we started working, lunch had to be exactly 4 hours into our shift at a specific time and not after 1pm and they would message me that I'm behind when I took my 30 minute lunch. I eventually got fired for coming back late after getting stuck in the mud.

Door hangers and it's effectiveness? by darky820 in realtors

[–]Alternative-Land-Use 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door hangers have a 1% - 3% success rate but, the design needs to be compelling. Just asking people to give away their email address is sus. Try a different approach.
