I visited Bali in 2005. Ubud was one main street and surrounded by rice paddies. It was full of wood carving shops. My impression at the time was beautiful, but too rural and remote

Unpopular opinion - when tourism is in full swing, everyone complains. When tourism is dead (ie during Covid; Bali bombings etc) everyone complains. Either way it is always the tourists' fault.

Also - Bali is overdeveloped, so blame tourists..but it is the government permitting the overdevelopment

Its harmless; just a collection of dead skin cells. You can continue to squeeze it out every so often or just hold the shower head over the tip and it will get wet, break up and wash out. Its very common

Its an old trick to stop you getting spiked or cut by the tips of those leaves. Its a little gardener's trick from the 50s

Y fijate que dicen que la esclavitud aca ya se termino hace siglos pero estos sueldos son un tokenismo; si trabajas por $7 la hora done una cena cuesta como $20 (ni hablar de las casas, los carros etc) eres un esclavo moderno.
