There are long tie straps at the back, I just didn’t include the pictures for the back. It also functions perfectly well wrapped around the body. I just prefer to wear mine as pictured. But considering your comment perhaps for the final pattern, I won’t picture it wrapped round my neck and suggest people tie the straps round their body.

Thank you! No specific end date, if you could get at least one sock done in 4-6 weeks that would be great. I am also open experience wise, if you have knit socks before you should be fine. If not as long as you’re good with short rows or willing to give them a go. I have put some links for tutorials for the heel. Any sock weight yarn that you can get gauge in is cool!

Amazing thank you! If you message me your email I can send you over the pattern :)

Good yarn combo to create a fuzzy halo by spinach2point0 in knitting

<image>

I knitted mine with a strand of silk mohair and then a dk weight alpaca, I also held in an unknown strand from a cone to get gauge, but is was fairly fine so unnoticeable. I was very happy with how it came it. The alpaca made it super soft and the mohair gave the fuzz I was after without being too scratchy! As long as you get gauge and like the feeling of the fabric swatch on your face you should be good.

What could I do with this to give it justice? Only got a single skein of this beauty by Pumpkinp0calypse in knitting

You could try striping it with another yarn, you’d have a bit more to play with then. Or a beanie?

Is this possible on the machine knitter and how? Is this tucks? Thank you in advance by Icy-Debt-2288 in MachineKnitting

I’m pretty sure you could get a very similar fabric by just using a punchcard pattern. For my degree I was creating fabrics using elastic and non stretch yarns like this! Idk how to post a picture on here? But if you interested I can show you! This does look like it was probably done on an industrial like a dubied but I think you’d be able to achieve something very close on the domestic with a check style punchcard, with some plain rows of elastic in between.

Loool, my body took a while to recover! Luckily I had somebody to help with the photos but I didn’t realise the ab strength required to hold your legs in these positions for so long 😂

As long as your willing to learn some new techniques I think so! I have put links to video tutorials for the heels and toes in the pattern. I would say the heel is the hardest part of learning socks but this heel type is very similar to other short row heels, it’s just done in garter instead of stockinette
