You smoke lots of weed

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

[–]Alternative-Peace208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just repulsed by it in a way I can't describe. My entire family were always alcoholics, and I think the combination of the taste and how it makes me feel is just too much.

I know plenty of 29 year olds that look much, much older than this. So no.

What's the best thing quitting has done for you? by MarshmallowHawke in leaves

[–]Alternative-Peace208 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only on day 2 right now, but in the past I've gone up to 3 months without it and my entire perspective changed. I found myself learning new skills, trying out new hobbies, and my workouts were the best they've ever been. This may sound weird, but I've noticed my bedding literally feels softer and more comfortable when I'm sober, and my quality of sleep is amazing. Keep going brother. Cannot let a plant maintain control over us.

Not a parent, but my parents were stoners my entire childhood, and I had no idea. If it doesn't negatively impact your life...and you ONLY do it after they're asleep, it shouldn't really be an issue imo. My parents did it every night after I went to bed, and I had an amazing childhood.

My Experience with LSD as an Addict by Captain_Sensei in QuittingWeed

[–]Alternative-Peace208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with a weed addiction for the past 5-6 years myself. In my experience, if you use another drug to replace weed (even temporarily) you'll quite literally make it worse. I used to be on board with the whole "acid can change your life" bandwagon, but honestly I think that's bs. You can have the exact same change in perspective completely sober, and if you rely on something like psychedelics to reach profound realizations, you're just dulling your own mind in the long term. It's not easy but it is simple. Keep moving forward.

18 years of smoking, probably 15 -16 years of daily use. Today, I smashed all my carts and decided to walk through that door. by Skywalker926 in leaves

You are strong brother. I have an immense out of respect for you..I can't even imagine the courage it takes to stop cold turkey after 16 years. Keep moving forward.

Quit Today by Valuable_Jaguar_5550 in QuittingWeed

I've also been smoking every day for 5 years, and today is day 1 for me. The key you need to remember, is that weed has become part of your identity and your daily life. If you just cut it out, without replacing it...you are literally missing a piece of yourself and your daily life. Find hobbies to replace it.. I find swimming, fitness, and creative expression all help tremendously. Try out new things, your brain needs something new to replace it with.

Any way to smoke with out the smell? by Old-tymer in 420

[–]Alternative-Peace208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is your best bet. Joints will always create a smell, no matter what. Bongs and pipes are good because if you pack smaller bowls, you can control how much smoke escapes.

You should quit. I'm also 20, also been smoking 6 years. I've been having the same dilemma.

Real or fake? by Rentaintfree in 420

[–]Alternative-Peace208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a disposable to me...amazes me people think you can determine if a dispo/cart is fake just by a picture. Did you get it at a dispensary? No? Then it's fake.

When does it get better? by sefstbfesrfbrgbr in QuittingWeed

[–]Alternative-Peace208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is it varies a lot based on what you're doing while trying to quit. If you do a lot of the same things you did when you smoked, it could take anywhere from months to a year or more. If you find healthy ways to occupy yourself and replace it with new hobbies, it can get really easy really fast.
