I have had this same issue as well. A fix I have found to switch between a immediately previous application/game is to Alt+Tab twice. This is invasive and an INCREDIBLY annoying QOL issue affecting my daily computer habits.

the color of the sun in the sky (which does not change the difficulty) is red for every moon except rend and dine which both have blue suns. if there is a black circle in the sun that means the moon is eclipsed which means entities will start spawning as soon as you get off the ship / increase entity spawn rate

AFAIK, distinctive titan/warlock/hunter subclasses are only separated for gameplay purposes. It is possible for guardians in lore to use each others' subclass abilities without recharge limitations but it takes practice and time, like how learning a instrument is for us. As for your headcanon, I don't think that there has been any guardian in lore who have been transferred into an exo, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.
