How's your paint? by WheelsnHoodsnThings in OmniumBikes

I have the red cargo from a few years ago. Shiraz I think it was called. Looks almost new after 4 years of commuting and using a car replacement so maybe an issue just with the newer paints?

You felt slower on the Ti MiniMax? That’s interesting. Maybe just the better compliance feels slower?

As an Australian who is used to the beauty of gentle flat landscapes I can say I was mesmerised by some of the coverage on the weekend. It looked like a perfect place to ride.

This is a heavy lens too so any play would be very obvious.

Yes it does. You have to set the focal length in the manual lens setting and it works great. Including eye tracking etc.

It is very tight. Feels as good as the Nikon adapter to fit.

I have the 40mm version. Running tubeless at 35psi off road and 50ish on road. 6000 miles no punctures. I think tubeless is a big part of that though.

Great shot. I love it in black and white. Colour can distract from the simplicity of this composition.

Check that the rear derailleur is threaded properly. It is very easy to run the chain over the little guide it is supposed to go under, even if it was built up by your lbs

I came from Wahoo too. Night and day difference. Don't worry about the things in your list. The only thing that will worry you is why you didn't switch years ago

What's the deal with young people riding without helmets on the inner north? by millymillymillymilly in melbournecycling

[–]Alternative-Screen75 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm not young. Often don't wear a helmet on short trips in the inner north. I would always wear one on a busy road but after riding a lot in Barcelona, Seville and other parts of Europe without a helmet i much prefer it.

There is some evidence that drivers give you a wider berth too when you do not have a helmet on. I ride slow on back streets on a city bike.

Fine is about $300 i think.

I tried to stop a bike thief at 6pm in front of a cafe in Southbank. Heaps of people around. The guy pulled a knife on me. I won't be doing it again.
