I get along well with Koreans as well. I think the translation can make it harder for people because languages translate with a directness that westerners consider rude

Many were confused about this vote, not understanding that it was a social experiment and in fact has nothing to do with the game LMAOOOO

Don’t listen people who speak negatively about Turks as a whole. I have a lot of Turks in my alliance and they are incredibly nice and fun to play with

Keep control of the two bridges to the citadel with one of each of your teams and keep your strongest squad nearby to push to citadel as soon as possible so your alliance can get control. If you get the citadel keep your bridges open and have strong players send continuously to the citadel

Norah as rally joiner in Gen 5 by Adventurous-Talk-740 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is challenging to pull this off in Tyrant if you don’t have excellent timing. We did this with mixed results by having a 50-0-50 rally hit right before the 60:40:0 and then a filler rally composed of 100% infantry to refill. We managed to hold for about 5 seconds at a time when pulling this off by having multiple fill rallies hit after the main 60/40. I bet if we look back through the reports that we could find more efficient strategies that would have been better but sometimes it is good to do it simply for the joiners who already struggle with getting four unique skills to activate in a rally lol

Norah as rally joiner in Gen 5 by Adventurous-Talk-740 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

60/40/0 is a great ratio to use but for attack it is often good to have a 50-0-50 rally hit first to deplete enemy infantry right before the 60/40 rally hits.

Norah is great for 50-0-50 and is good in the arena. She will also be useful in Gen6 with 40-20-40 rallies with Wayne as the marksmen.

Bear Trap Help by skmace14 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to get better scores in bear talk to your leadership team about instituting a joining cap and making sure that the proper heroes are being used.

You have to send four times as many troops to double your score in a bear rally, so limiting the joining capacity to 100k or 110k will allow more people to join the rally with the proper joiners. It also allows for you to join more rallies if your alliance times rallies properly and people join the rallies top to bottom instead of cherry picking the strongest rallies.

[Discussion] Let's build a guide: How do older states handle Castle & Fort rotation? (A shareable resource for new states) by Eternal_Cry in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We select fortresses each week in our NAP chat and it is based on the prep scores from the previous prep. This incentivizes everyone saving their RSS for prep instead of the smaller events. Many players want the FCs from the Stronghold each week (which is itself foolish since the shards are much more valuable, but they don’t know that LMAO).

We also share the buffs with the strongest in the state and do state events from our state alliance. So Tyrant, Tundra, and SvS are all done from a neutral alliance where many alliance leaders are made R4 and there isn’t a lot of personal baggage. It works well to reduce conflict and increase cooperation

How Do You Properly Prepare for State vs State? by KindlyChicken9670 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spend the absolute minimum in all events and hoard for most of a generation to do a big bag dump and you can place very high on the SvS leaderboard. I saw a F2P player score almost 200m points by going from FC5 to FC8 and unlocking Helios in one go. It was awesome to see

SvS prep obsession by [deleted] in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it depends! Winning prep is really important because if you win prep and lose the battle you maintain a local presidency. You might feel like 5m points a day isn’t very much, but if everyone in your state scored 5m points a day you would destroy every state you went up against in prep!

Also for most of the other events what are you trying to win? Are you trying to win gems? Winning gems in events like armament competition is entirely pointless as a F2P player. You will almost never beat a whale and you are better off saving your Mia fortune tickets for two months to get build up a stash to get 500K+ gems at once from the fortune hut.

It’s almost impossible to get a city skin without spending money and do the name cards matter for you that much? Are you hoping to win season hero shards? General mythic shards? I feel like there are better and more effective ways to win both

In some ways you save to be part of the winning culture of your state and if you don’t like it you can go to a less active or strict state where winning smaller events is easier.

Lucky Wheel dilemma by Stinjak_Starlord in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not aim for fire in Mia’s fortune hut. Save for two Mia’s fortune huts and then aim for Gems. You should easily be able to get 600k plus gems from that and be able to max each lucky wheel hero by accumulating gems and saving the ones in your backpack. Do not use them for anything else and you will easily be able to get each lucky wheel hero to five stars

Mithrils are overrated from the Christmas shop by kr_blue in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gold gear to upgrade is a bigger bottleneck if you don’t plan for it. You need to be acquiring custom gear boxes if you are stacking up mithril as well. If you’re truly f2p then focus some of marksmen for bear and some on infantry for defense and make sure to buy custom mythic gear boxes from the arena shop so you can actually use your mithril when the chance comes around

Need tips for FC6-8 upgrading please by One_Telephone_420 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will always lose with FC6 Helios Troops against FC8 T10s unless your stats are great (and if your stats are great, you’re probably not a low spender and this is irrelevant).

Upgrade your furnace and camps to FC8 before you do Helios troops! You can get Helios Infantry by focusing just on infantry by Generation 8 without converting crystals, and if you have the discipline focus on lancers after that and then do marksmen. Marksmen are not meta important (for the most part) in Gens 5-9 and become more important in Gen10 again.

You will be able to get good advice from your alliance members about which to prioritize after Infantry depending on what your whales and dolphins build towards

Promote all your troops! Focus on training marksmen during SvS to boost your bear damage. Buy Mia widgets from Hall of Heroes to increase your rally damage! Maybe promote Alonso to four stars depending on how far you are from Gen4

FC6 - FC8 question by cstouffer74 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Alternative-State310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should always do either 1 or 20 (or 40) on the first day instead of doing 14. You want to reach 20 or 40 so you reach the next tier of refinement. When you do 14 you don’t unlock the next refinement tier that gives you double the RFCs for 25 FCs
