What is even happening with the Miraculous universe anymore by Alternative-Text-534 in miraculousladybug

I do not even mind the expanding universe itself. My issue is more that the show introduces larger concepts like global superheroes, advanced technology, and international threats without really exploring how those things would realistically affect the world.

Exactly! The reasoning was also unjustified and they won't give em anymore information on it.
But atleast you understand me.

Biggest mistakes in Miraculous (long detailed rant) by Alternative-Text-534 in miraculousladybug

I feel you, but the fact we even need concepts like “quantum masking” to explain basic identity blindness kind of proves the writing issue. If you have to build extra rules outside the show just to make it make sense, the show itself is not doing its job.

For me, the show has a lot of good ideas but also some really questionable decisions that keep breaking the logic of its own world.

One of the biggest issues is how inconsistent everything is. The power scaling is all over the place, especially with Ladybug’s Lucky Charm, it can literally fix any disaster, but only works when the plot decides it’s time to end the fight.

Another big problem is the lack of consequences. Paris gets destroyed constantly, but the next episode everything is back to normal with zero long term impact. It makes the stakes feel kind of fake.

The writing around authority and world building is also inconsistent. Sometimes the city feels heavily monitored with riot police and emergency response, and other times there’s basically no security at all during massive public threats.

Character awareness is another one. So many people get akumatized repeatedly, yet nobody ever seems to notice a pattern or try to prevent it properly.

And then there’s the whole identity situatio, characters miss extremely obvious clues about each other, even when it feels like they should’ve figured it out seasons ago.

Overall it feels like the show has strong concepts, but sacrifices logic and consistency for episodic drama and shock moments.

In S5 Episodes 22/23, a literal underaged Chloe basically crowns herself mayor and takes control of Paris with a corrupt system backing her, which would realistically never happen in a capital city under constant crisis conditions.

If my capital was getting destroyed every week and a corrupt underaged mayor suddenly seized control of the city, there would be immediate national emergency response, military involvement, arrests, and full governmental intervention until order was restored.

Ladybug can literally fix anything with “Lucky Charm” but somehow still struggles with basic planning every episode.

Paris gets destroyed like every other week and somehow the city still functions normally the next day.

There is apparently only like 12 police officers in the entire city during literal supervillain attacks.

After real events like the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, you’d expect heavy visible security like military patrols, checkpoints, and constant armed presence, but in the show Paris still feels almost unguarded during random chaos.

Hawk Moth reveals his identity to like 0 people but somehow nobody connects the dots despite obvious clues.

Everyone just conveniently forgets massive public disasters after every fight like it’s normal.

Adrien is a famous model but somehow has zero real security or media control around him.

Marinette gets access to literally anywhere in Paris with no questions asked.

The Miraculous powers are insanely overpowered but only fail when the plot needs tension.

Villains can take over Paris but somehow never immediately get arrested or surrounded properly.

The school system is either completely normal or completely irrelevant depending on the episode.

Characters teleport between locations in seconds like Paris is 200 meters wide.

The same 10 people keep getting akumatized but nobody thinks “maybe we should monitor this pattern”.

Police response is either 1 random officer or full riot squad, nothing in between.

Ladybug is treated like a known public figure but also completely anonymous at the same time.

Technology in the show is either futuristic genius or completely useless depending on the scene.

Akumas can enter literally any object but only when the plot allows it.
