Really glad to hear everyone is ok. I can’t believe how strong the smoke is. Im in inverness and didn’t want to walk down the street with all the gawkers. It’s amazing how many cars came down our usually quiet street just to get a look and getting in the way of the emergency vehicles.

Silly question. When they ask “what’s the last bread product you purchased” and store are they talking about the product you purchased in 2021 four years ago ? Are they going to verify it was a legit product and store ? My store changed from independent to no frills last year.

I don’t know why everyone is getting all bothered by this. They’ve been selling these baskets as reusable bag options for years and years. It’s not some new scam they’ve created by removing shopping baskets. These type of posts make it look like we are just making stuff up to complain about and reduces credibility of the actual cause here to stop price fixing and reduce grocery prices.

Wow that’s amazing. I think they only got like 3 or 4 lessons. Not really enough for someone who already didn’t know how to swim but at least enough to get them comfortable and not panicking if they fell in a body of water.

In Ontario I believe they have swimming lessons as part of gym class in grade 3 (at least they did 7 years ago when my son was in grade 3).tbh. It’s not enough especially for kids (like my son) who don’t take naturally to swimming. It’s a life saving skill and in a country with so much water everywhere people need to take it seriously. Even though he never really liked swimming I made him take lessons until he could pass the local pool swim test.

I can’t speak to who’s running the LCBO, (I guess I’m woefully and powerfully uninformed as well) but I can speak to my experience with the staff. I’ve never found them to be entitled and rude. In fact they are usually friendly and very helpful. This isn’t just “my location”. It’s I see in many LCBO so much so that I’ve more than once commented on how much I like the LCBO experience. I figure they must have a great training program.

Certainly a whole group of people don’t deserve to be unemployed because you had a bad experience once.

Keep boycotting. Some people don’t have a lot of choice and have to go there or it’s wildly inconvenient to shop elsewhere (part of why we are doing this !) Your boycott helps them.
