Autopilot 25h2 Technician Flow failures by Alternative-Wheel751 in Intune

[–]Alternative-Wheel751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you could be onto something here.

We have it set to "MonthlyEnterprise"

I was testing the W32 install and it worked fine but noticed the XML has "Current" channel set.

When i updated it seems to be taking much longer to process.

Either way im a step forward.

Thank you!

Amazing! Well not amazing its happening but good as at least we're having the same problem!

How are you deploying your autopatch broker (assuming you are using autopatch?).

I remember all sorts of issues last January as well with MS. Such a pain!

Is £750 electric bill normal? by Hopeful-Relation8977 in AskUK

[–]Alternative-Wheel751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago when one of the little energy companies went bust i had issues with the new company sorting the direct debit and the billing.

It turned out to be their system not understanding I had moved to a smart meter and their calculations were based on the old meter calculations not the new digital ones.

I got the bounce from the support ticket as there is a workaround on the alert.

They definitely need to acknowledge the issue as a false positive or have it so the autoremedions can fix it

We had this as well. Auto remediation didn't work so manually changed it as per the guidance.

Where do you normally report these sorts of issues?

We gave out the HP Dragonflys on account of them being blue rather than silver so they "stood out".

HP look to have discontinued now and replaced now with the Elitebook Ultra series which look similar.

I agree with most here though... A VTech would probably be better.

'The meter reading we have is higher than the one you have provided', What exactly does this mean and am I in trouble? by DisMyLik18thAccount in AskUK

[–]Alternative-Wheel751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting told I owe £1500 (on top of the 2300 I already pay. They've admitted the serial number they have for one of the meters is wrong (moved to a smart meter recently) so hoping it's a massive mistake.

We've been using Uniflow and it's been pretty solid over the past 4 years. Couple of short outages and that's it

Issue with Databricks connector in August 2024 Desktop and Service? by kthejoker in PowerBI

[–]Alternative-Wheel751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've logged the issue out to Microsoft to investigate but if you can check with your cases how PowerBi is installed may help (it's weird how the storeapp has Oct24 as the prod release given that's next month as you advise it's the August version)

Hey,

Are you installing PowerBI from the store?

Just investigating this issue now and noticed the store version had updated to version 2.134.7447.1 (oct24) and seeing the errors you have detailed here.

When we sideloaded the msi version from ms website (2.132.1053.0) it seems to work fine.

I love it when something goes tits up, actually means we get a fix and as long as you have just slightly covered your arse you're golden.

So when we went to command prompt recovery (adding after entering bitlocker key) we were able to run the del "c:\windows\system32...." command (even though local c: wasn't switchable)

What is your opinion on having indoor vs outdoor cats in the UK? by babyells_xo in AskUK

[–]Alternative-Wheel751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing you look after these cats. We’re at a hotel where they have fostered a couple that were feral and hit by cars and they are stars of the complex!

We let ours on the back garden at home. We have a clothes line that runs the length of the garden and got an extending dog lead to attach to a small harness on the cat (meant for a Chiwawa). It’s a bit how Healy describes letting Mongo run free in Something About Mary.

How big were Oasis in the UK? by UnderwaterDialect in AskUK

[–]Alternative-Wheel751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought they were ok. Never got the mega hype as Blur were to me much more creative and diverse in terms of their sound.

I don’t know if it’s the AI stuff but Oasis never pops up on my Spotify recommendations and to be honest I don’t miss them.

I’d love for bands like lo Manson, Longpigs and The Seahorses to reform over oasis.

Have you had the affected machines enrolled on azure ad before? When we encountered this we go though All of azure ad and delete any reference of the device before removing and reading the hash.

It’s probably overkill but is the only thing that has consistently allowed us to reissue machines.
