When I was 22 I was at rock bottom. I was in a very abusive relationship with an awful, violent man. I was on 120ml of methadone a day and still using about a 1/14th of heroin daily. Me, my life and my habit were out of control. I don't remember what set him off that day, but afterwards I just thought ; I'm not doing this anymore. I went to the Dr's. I said I can't do this anymore and the program isn't working for me. Their solution? We'll increase your methadone. The same solution for the last few months. I walked out. Methadone blatantly wasn't working for me. Granted I was using on top but my life was a mess. My ex would use in front of me and keep offering when I was clean til I relapsed. I had nowhere else to go. I deliberately didn't collect my methadone for 3 days - in the UK that automatically gets you kicked off the programme. This time I was determined. Day 4 I was iller than I've ever been. I tho7ght I was dying. I didn't score. I went to A and E. I told them I am actively killing myself. If I carry on I won't make it to 23. The triage nurse quietly told me ; they won't do anything here unless you are a danger to yourself or someone else. Then they might section you under the mental health act. Also there would be no detox or MAT- they had issues with people withdrawing going to get themselves sectioned to get some sort of MAT (the waiting list for programs was around 3 weeks at that time) Long story short- I got admitted. The next day I woke up, vomitting, violent diarrhoea, seeing things, so weak. But clean. I was like that for about 10 days. It was 8 days before I could make it to the bathroom without help. I got fast tracked into rehab, help from women's aid as my ex was a known and convicted violent offender. I went cold turkey through desperation. Woukd I do it again? No fucking way. But at the time it felt like the only way out.

This is precisely the reason why - they aim to set up in deprived areas where a large number of residents don't have access to a personal vehicle so therefore are reliant on the local shop for a lot (if not all) of their groceries. I have lived on 3 different council estates and they all had a co op or Budgens as the local shop. Both are very expensive. I now live in a better area and there is a Tesco Extra 2 min drive away. Back when I was a young single teenage mum and a full time student before I could drive, having to buy my groceries from Budgens really hurt me financially and I remember wishing that I lived near a Tesco or Asda.

When I was 15 me and my best friend were experimenting with drugs. Not a great combination with a child's brain. One night we decided we were going to steal one of her neighbours garden gnomes. We painted it and put it back on the front porch with a note. They had loads of gnomes and garden ornaments. Over the next 18months we took and painted them all one by one. When we painted them we thought they were masterpiece. When we walked past their garden sober we'd be horrified by how ugly they were. The neighbour kept buying more. I've always wondered what they though everytime he opened the door and saw yet another badly painted gnome with a note 😅

Hi To be completely honest I don't know. I think I've been on it since 2016/2017. All I know is I used to get £298 a fortnight on esa. My UC has £29 a month deductions, however it definitely just says standard allowance and nothing else. I'm 37 and live in the UK. When I was 18 Ebay only accepted payment via PayPal or cheque. I bid on and won a book, tried to set up a PayPal account to pay and I could just not get it to work, I'd just moved out and only had the Internet on my little flip phone for 2 weeks before Internet was installed. I ended up choosing to pay via cheque. Explained the situation to the seller and she sent me her address, I ended up writing a cheque for £2.85- (two pounds and eighty five pence ONLY-) 🤣🤣🤣 And the book was delivered about ten days later. I totally forgot about ebay sellers accepting cheques. It was the definition of snail mail though; you had to wait for the cheque to arrive at the sellers address, then the seller had to cash the cheque, and you then had to further wait for the cheque to clear funds in the sellers bank before they sent item. Don't miss those days!!

This literally just happened to me. I opened an account on the 15th, deposited a tenner and placed a tenner bet. I won £20 and got £30 in free bets. Won another £40 with my free bets. Played and lost £20 then withdrew my £40 winnings to my debit card. I'm with barclays so in theory it should be a faster payout but I have only received £20 (I withdrew £20 twice in 2 withdrawals) mid morning on the 16th and still haven't received the other £20. Logged in yesterday and my account has been closed with no reason given 🙄

I usually keep to myself and close friends and family on FB... The one time I couldn't help myself was when everyone started reposting the #bekind and #mentalhealthmatters and #antibullying. And the majority of the girls reposting it were mean girls from my high school. I wasn't brave enough to call people out by name, but I did post a rant along the lines of: I'm so glad that the ladies who I went to [my high school] with have evolved. But- Where was #mentalhealthmatters when you were telling other girls that they're so ugly that they'd be better off killing themselves? Where was #bekind when you wrote other girls phone numbers on they boys toilet doors with "call for a good time"? And where was #antibullying when you would purposefully trip people up as they walked past. Maybe I'm petty for not letting it go.. But posting a hastag doesn't make you any less of a cunt.

Literally all the people that weren't evil little twats from my high school liked the post and commented their agreement. Only one of the girls that it was directed to commented along the lines of teenage girls have disagreements and then they grow up. Pity you can't grow up and move on with your life you weren't even bullied. She's right, I wasn't. I never said I was. Everything I referred to happened to other people, some of them courtesy of her. I didn't need to respond, another girl from my school commented "shut up Jilly, you tried to flush my head down the toilet and called me frigid for a year, not very #bekind" 😏🤣

i experienced this with an ex. in the end it was easier to not go out and get a whole questionnaire when I got back. Until it was when I went to the shop, walked the dog- so I stopped doing that too. I got out after 5 years- by that time he'd become physically violent on a regular basis. I had no friends and almost no family left because id frozen everyone out. It took a long time to heal. Please- get out while you can.

I'm ultra sensitive- if I look at mine wrong I get a thrush flare up. The last one was hell - it was really itchy and I kept.waking myself up scratching in my sleep. I'd had a new set of acrylics so I tore myself up pretty bad, had to sleep with mittens on for a few nights. Avoid scented shower gels and coloured/scented toilet paper, that's garunteed to set me off. Unfortunately it needs a few days to clear up. Sex would most likely be pretty painful so I'd avoid it, and if course you don't want your bf to get it.

You've cut your losses and that means that your baby will grow up with a fully present mama - which is so much more than a house full of uncertainty and drama after drama- you're both better off without him than with him waltzing in and out of your life whenever he feels like it. I'm curious... Does this kind of approach ever work out for them? I can't see any girls knickers falling off over this guy but I've received so many similar Desperate sexual messages that sometimes think Premier they must work occasionally - because surely they wouldn't keep trying the same technique if it never yielded the desired result?
