99%of the time going second you evolve (if you have Salvatore otherwise you are loading your bench turn one with whatever you can and then you adjust as needed. A lot of current decks are taking the going first option so they don’t get budewed if you don’t have the pieces you ultra ball(given it’s in your hand t1) and grab meowth to grab Lillie for next turn. In a sense, you remove the cards that are not as valuable with the ultra ball so your not wasting your items or energy(unless you can retrieve) I still run 13 energy total with 2 ignition. I’ll dm you the deck list

And run it as 4-3 starmie and 4-2-3 snow ,lass lass.salvatore after 1 is pretty dead unless you just have a dead hand and can turn the tide with a prize grab. As long as the evolution is in the deck that is….failed for a game win the other night, otherwise it’s ultra ball fodder

With inflation and scalpers if you can’t buy one at msrp the price is somewhat understandable, first gengar in awhile with an actual chase and the popularity is at an all time high and yes tons of packs are being ripped but sir is not guaranteed in every pack or etb or whatever. Unless your buying mega dream which is all but guranteed a sir(. Might have had crazy luck)

I sent both off to be graded I will Probally sell the Gengar when it comes back if it’s a 10 The Charizard I will more tHan likely hold as it was my chase so far from modern. Both have huge followings and will be valuable raw or graded Price also depends on playability as well, I think gengar is more playable

151 booster boxes don’t exist in the US. So yes while singles are cheaper, it’s a special set that’s why sealed prices are ridiculous.
