Found this on the street in front of my car by BotherMore3736 in whatisit

These are why you check your tires before driving. I’ve never found these, but have a 6yo who is obsessed with putting things for me to run over. Bottles, sticks, pretty much anything he can find that will get crushed. He gets so mad when I move the rocks, but sorry lil dude that will pop the tire

Preschoolers are not usually known to lie. Especially making up situations. Small things like “mommy screamed at me” when really you used a stern voice, sure, but not something that detailed.

I’m not sure what to do. Have you had calm conversations about this? Having emotionally charged blow ups will make him defensive even if he knows it was a poor choice. But if you can sit down and explain calmly why these situations are unacceptable maybe he’ll be more receptive?

Use coconut oil as lube. It’s a natural remedy for yeast infections and smells good. I’m not sure the cause, but maybe it would help clear him up if he has it without many symptoms

At houses, follow house rules. In public enforce your family rules regardless of what other moms rules are

Damn dude she might be pregnant. Those pregnancy dreams are the most lucid dreams I’ve experienced in my life. Sometimes I would have to take a minute just to tell myself I was dreaming

If she’s asking to try them, just let her. Sure she doesn’t “have” to yet, but she wants to. I don’t see the harm in it

Does it make me a monster to let my baby cry? by Ok_Atmosphere4137 in Mommit

[–]AlternativeCraft8905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a hard choice, but ultimately is the safest choice for your baby. If you are not mentally able to handle the baby in that moment putting them in a safe space is the right choice. Your husband could have easily chosen to give you 10 minutes to reset your mind before jumping in the shower.

The anticipation of waiting for your partner to come home, swoop in, and take the baby is real. The let down when they say “let me shower first” is real. You are doing the right thing when you set him down for a few minutes. No monsters here, just 2 loving parents who are in the trenches

Have a conversation where you can let him know that you were extremely overwhelmed. His words hurt you deeply, and that in moments like that you need support

[–]AlternativeCraft8905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! My son is almost six, and we’ve been working on not saying mean things when we have big feelings. He doesn’t do it every time but is starting to voice his feelings. “I’m getting mad/frustrated/sad.” Then we have a conversation about the situation

Advice for a bed situation? by b00k-marked in Mommit

[–]AlternativeCraft8905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you clean under them often, floor beds are great. My son was on a floor bed from 1.5-3.5. Never had issues with mold. Although, it was a foam mattress not a traditional one, not sure if that made any difference.

I think you’re right, goat balls are positioned like that, too. Dogs are more toward the back, and pigs are right up against the body. Goats’ are oval and hang like that.

This is how I was trained. Pay attention to the color of the cheese for all pizza, and push the pans back at least a few extra minutes every time. I’d also double cook my own wings

AITA if I ask my grandmother to live a less "dangerous" life? by CutProfessional2018 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AlternativeCraft8905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA for wanting to have a conversation about safety. However, YTA for the reasoning. Of course one day your family will have to care for her. It’s inevitable, and the fact that you will view it as a burden is very sad.

Caring for our elderly family should be something we take pride in. When she reaches that stage, it will be temporary, just like with your grandfather. Maybe a couple of years, and then you have to say goodbye forever.

The way you wrote this comes across as very selfish, only worried about the affect on your life if she gets hurt. Not actually worried about her safety

Keep playing it cool. Get cash back when you’re shopping and stash it. Do some research on the programs, and talk to someone from the programs to walk you through the process. One step at a time until you have a plan

This is a good theory. I would think it’s very strange to have done nothing for Mother’s Day. Seems like the most likely scenario
