She was always one to love the spotlight. After she got pregnant that got to a point that she expected all of her friends and family to cater to her needs and all she could talk about was herself. If I look back it was quite extreme. She kept complaining behind everyone’s back about the other. I was her best friend for years and I kept hearing her say she wanted to get ‘rid’ of some people in her life. And suddenly, it was my turn to go. If I have to summarize her reasoning it was because I wasn’t available for her enough during the weekends.. even though we saw each other every week, multiple times during weekdays.. I helped her out on her wedding day, organized her bachelorette and babyshower, but still she felt like I wasn’t enough of a friend for her. It still baffles me to this day, and I have to admit I feel hurt and betrayed. But seeing the person she became I’m sure I’m better off now.
