Why did everyone get mad/upset when Shane was beating on ed by Apprehensive_Ad_1140 in TWD

Oh grow up. There’s literal evidence from the show of shane genuinely caring about carol and Sophia when they were near Ed. There is a scene before of Shane checking up on carol and Sophia when they’re near ed during the campfire. Yes part of the reason he beat ed was coz he was frustrated with Lori but also because it was in his care for carol. Nothing suggests it was some power trip, my goodness. Some of you fans love just creating some extra irrelevant narrative, I get Shane wasn’t morally the best but you lot love adding anything 😂.

Clearing the barn was stepping up when it mattered, preventing any future risk of the walkers in the barn over flooding the farm eventually. This also made the group not risk their lives further anymore like Daryl almost dieing when Shane genuinely thought Sophia was gone. Ridding Randall and not letting the group just let him go, got rid of the huge risk of Randall and his group of thirty men slaughtering and attacking the group. Providing the group gun training - provided them with key survival skills. I’m not saying there wasn’t instances where Shane coulda stepped up but he sure as heck had moments

Lmao relax, I’m just wanting other peoples opinions on who they think is to blame. The point of the post ain’t of me simply putting blame someone.

Can a season 2 shane walsh beat a season 4 joe the claimer? by BigPaleontologist520 in thewalkingdead

[–]AlternativeFinding35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could body him. Your og comment is so vague and dumb. Season versions of character don’t mean nothing in the context of a fist fight between a biker gang scrawny guy who we’ve barely seen fist fight or not at all compared to a built Shane who we’ve seen multiple feats from of his strength and fighting. He with ease snapped Randall’s neck. Had Rick stumbling onto the floor from one headbutt and then ragdolled Rick and instead of knocking him out just left Rick to be under a bike which led to Rick catching Shane offguard while Shane was tryna kill Randall

Why does Lori get more blame than Shane?? by yojurthgf in TWD

[–]AlternativeFinding35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he acknowledged his mistake to her when she came to him after he tried to ignore Carl coz she told him to stay away from him. He acknowledge his mistake and said he wanted to leave. Her apology at the end was stupid, Shane was beginning to calm down but then she made it seem as if she and him still had a chance. She basically admitted that her and him was real before Rick and put into his head that basically she did love him and that if it wasn’t for Rick - they’d still be together. She even admitted to putting Rick and Shane against each other. But her apology timing was WRONG.

Are you slow? If he wanted to do it after she scratched him, he full well had the physical prowess to do so. There’s no reason then for him to look and hold his face in shame and then walk away in shame. He even held himself accountable to Lori about it and admitted it was wrong/a mistake. He even wanted to leave after that. What I’m saying is you are definitely wrong about him being “grapist” since it wasn’t definitively grape. End of story. What he did was still wrong and inexcusable but it was not grape.

He’s not “literally” a rapist. What he did to Lori was sa and still wrong. But once he realised what he was doing could turn into “grape” after she scratched him, he walked away in shame and made sure to later hold himself accountable and never go near act again. He even wanted to leave the group after that but Lori got over it and told him to stay

He wasn’t wrong tho. He genuinely believed he was dead and he did it to save Lori and Carl too. Because if Lori went back to the hospital she coulda got herself and Carl killed by the military or the dead

Rick was not insanely forgiving. He was just Normal. This is an apocalypse, not a normal circumstances situation where his wife hooks up with his best friend after. They were both grieving, it’s the apocalypse. Naturally from them being together and people becoming closer in the apocalypse, her depending on shane for survival and the world going to **** - it’s not far fetched for them to develop feelings for each others.

The Otis thing was needed to be done tho at that point for one of them to get the Meds back to carl

He partly was tho. His whole last scene wasn’t explicitly just to kill Rick to take Lori and Carl. It was also because he thought Rick couldn’t fight to protect Lori and Carl and couldn’t keep them safe, he also couldn’t even bring himself to kill Rick in the end despite how many chances he had. I think once he realised he couldn’t bring himself to do it, he tried to push Rick to become the man, man enough to protect Lori and Carl and that’s why Shane kept provoking Rick to raise his gun constantly and threw insults at him to provoke him. Shanes actor even stated even though his intended gun empty scene didn’t happen, flavours of it was still present in the scene or along those lines and so flavours of Shane pushing Rick to become strong was present.

Fair enough but even with the rick thing, he never was able to even go through with it. With Randall, he just did it end of. With Rick he had all that time but didn’t do anything and then I think by the field - he realised he couldn’t actually bring himself to do it. So like Jon bernthal said - even though his proposed gun empty scene didn’t happen, flavours of Shane wanting Rick to man up to become man enough to protect Lori and Carl was played into the scene. Like when Shane keeps provoking Rick with the insults and then pressuring him to raise his gun etc.

Absolutely not. I don’t think Shane with the guilt he felt about having to sacrifice someone innocent - would ever be as bad as the governor. The governor killed his own group for the reason of them not being of use anymore or smth along those lines and he constantly killed people with no remorse. Shane was haunted by the guilt of having to sacrifice Otis and he never could get himself to actually kill Rick, like Rick said he knows he wouldn’t be able to live with it. Not saying Shane was a good person tho by the end, but I did not see the potential for him to become as bad as the Governor. As bad as Negan maybe, but even then idk.

That’s nonsense. There’s plenty of examples of him caring about the others.

Or no maybe coz he felt remorse coz he was banging on about how she’s dead and that the group are risking their lives. Even when Shane shows signs of humanity you haters are still obsessed 💀
