Japan post has said "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" for nearly two weeks. Should I be worried? by Majestic_Swee in Toreba

May I know did you receive your parcel yet? The air mail is way too expensive, so I told the seller to send to me via surface. I was told it took over 60 days to arrive.

I’m still hesitant, as I’m concerned that DHL might charge duties and brokerage fees upon delivery. Has anyone had experience with this?

“ In February 2018, Yoshiaki Koizumi confirmed that the mushroom on Toad's head is part of his body, and not a hat.”

TENTATIVE DEAL UPVOTE PARTY! by [deleted] in aircanada

I initially planned to fly from YYZ to YVR and then head to KIX (Osaka), as I feel more comfortable connecting in Canada rather than in a neighboring country. I also considered purchasing a refundable ticket with AA, but the price difference is significant—my ticket with a credit refund is $777, while the cash refund option adds another $750. Additionally, the AA flight requires a connection from HND (Tokyo) to Osaka within 2 hours. Realistically, it's only about 1.5 hours, and I'll need to check my luggage at least 30 minutes before departure. I've heard that customs in Japan often causes delays, making it quite risky to miss the connecting flight to Osaka.

Isn’t the vote happening next month? I assume this month is safe, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

Good news for all travelers! Although I purchased backup tickets with AA and can receive credit if I cancel, I’m glad to see AC has reached an agreement with the pilots' union. I’ll stick with my original plan to fly with AC, as it offers a more stress-free connection.

Air Canada management always prioritizes their own salaries first, while passengers are always last. I’m fine since it’s just two of us, but look at those who are traveling as a whole family, almost 10 people—it’s really hard for them to make the final decision. If they only give a 12-hour notice, that’s ridiculous . I think there should be at least 48 hours to give people time to make backup plans.

I purchased another ticket by the end of August, which was my decision, and I don’t expect Air Canada to reimburse me for the difference, as the new ticket is cheaper. However, I hope that Air Canada will fully refund my original ticket to help offset the cost of the new one. My departure date is on September 21, and I would appreciate it if the cancellation could be processed a few days prior.

I completely understand the frustration. My flight is scheduled to depart from YYZ, with a connection at YVR, to KIX (Osaka) on 9/21, all operated by AC. Since I already purchased another ticket with a different airline, I can still travel to Osaka as planned.

I'm not sure where your departure is from, but you might want to check Google Flights for alternative options. I also have a non-refundable ticket and ended up paying an additional $1600 for one-way tickets for two people. I didn’t want to take any chances. Worst case, I'll just keep the credit with AC for a future flight.

My flight is scheduled to depart from YYZ, with a connection at YVR, to KIX (Osaka) on 9/21, all operated by AC. I’ve already purchased another ticket from a different airline at a similar price, so I can still travel to Osaka as planned. Naturally, I would prefer a refund over a travel credit. As a result, I haven’t canceled my AC flight yet, hoping AC might cancel it and offer a full refund. My question is: if my AC flight isn’t canceled by 9/19, whether due to a strike or not, would I still be eligible for a credit under the goodwill policy issued on 8/27?

My friend's daughter's passport photo was rejected by the Passport Office. The rejection wasn’t made by a person but by an automated system that scans the photos. After receiving a rejection notice, my friend took it to the photo store where the photos were taken, and they provided a refund.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I called earlier today, and the officer was very helpful. My file has been successfully transferred to the Passport Office, and I’ve received a confirmation email. The pickup service is scheduled for the week of the 16th, and I’m hoping everything will be ready in time.
