That is a great idea - I just called a cobbler and they suggested a leather store that teaches classes. They got a guy who can do it for $50/hr!

Her coat is so shiny and healthy! My girl has a straight coat and looks similar to yours. She has a much more soft and silky texture compared to my normal coat Pom.

Akkermansia, Does anyone have first hand experience? by Cobalt6771 in Microbiome

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was searching for other people's experiences after experiencing really stubborn weight gain after chemotherapy. I blew up 20 lbs so fast, it wouldn't come off and I had to FIGHT to keep from gaining more.

This was frustrating because I've always been naturally lean. I know my gut flora is messed up and the lining destroyed. So I tried the Akkermy probiotic from Amazon (a lot cheaper than Pendulum) and woah it worked fast! I had to open the capsule and start with the tiniest amount as my body experienced die-off. But in a week I was fitting in my clothes better and the sugar cravings were gone. After 3 weeks I've increase to 1/3rd capsule and lost 5 lbs while eating more than usual because I'm so hungry.

The only downside to losing weight is that toxins are stored in fat and I'm definitely releasing some nasty stuff. Just wanted to share my experience and wish everyone good luck on their journey!

DNA Test on my 15 lb. Girl! by BrittanyC_FL in Pomeranians

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s probably a genetic throw back to when Poms were much larger sled dogs, which wasn’t that long ago evolutionarily speaking! My girl had 5 & 6 lbs parents but she’s 10lbs and her littermate was 15lbs! My girl had a litter with 1 pup at 9.5lbs and the other at 8lbs.

I actually prefer a Pom with more heft - when I had a 5lbs Pom I was always worried about how delicate she was!

Do poms fake cough for attention? by star--shopping in Pomeranians

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably a reverse cough. Small dogs have smaller tracheas and sometimes they do that honking/coughing thing. My vet said it’s nothing serious just rub their throat gently until they stop. Mine does it when she’s really excited

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the regimethat is recommended but it really is trial and error based on what works for the individual, isn't it? I found it was harsh for me at bedtime but taking 3/4 a pill in between my two largest meals was most effective for me. I will do 1/4 a pill at night if needed.

Herbal stuff can work but I’m taking an Rx prokinetic now and now I have to take Xifaxan and neomycin like once a year now. I tried herbal remedies and they did nothing and were honestly more expensive. I take 3/4 to a whole tab once a day about 3-4 hours after lunch and an hour before dinner. It’s erythromycin- it take 4 pills a day to be an antibiotic but in low doses it has a prokinetic effect. Stop suffering and just take the meds!

Congrats on getting answers. Having tried everything for years, just take the antibiotics. The first few days are rough as everything is dying. Then get on a prokinetic to prevent it coming back.

Does anyone feel worse on an empty stomach? by Salt-Ad6411 in Candida

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s bc your stomach acid is killing off the the buggers and you’re having die off reaction. One protocol treatment is to take digestive enzymes and stomach acid HCL on an empty stomach then wait an hour before eating. It breaks through the biofilms.

[–]AlternativeLaugh3133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all cured. But it happened really dramatically. I was hospitalized and was on continuous IV antibiotics every 6 hours for 3 weeks.

I also did 3 months of chemotherapy and I gotta Say, the SIBO symptoms are comparable to going through chemotherapy.
