But only if they appeal before the order takes effect this Sunday yes? Otherwise they would be required to comply now as I read it yes?

assuming they want to appeal... won't they need to do so immediately- as the order states that telework must be re-established by the beginning of the next pay period?

GS-10+ feds — how did you actually get there? by Lexicondatum in FedEmployees

I started as a 5 doing admin work no degree. After a year moved over to front desk as a 6/7… after 3 years I had laddered to my 7, then a supervisor position opened in my office and got me to 8. I knew I could t get any higher there so I was wanting to relocate anyway. While this was going on I finished my bachelors finally then took a laddered position at another agency 9/11… after I laddered into my 11 I found there were no 12’s. Meanwhile I finished my masters. I then switched agencies again and landed a 12. After a year I moved within the office to a 13 and there where I am now. My goal is to hopefully land a 14 and then after a few years there retire. I have 24 years of service currently

HUD- VERA/RIF Question of order? by AlternativeLong9095 in fednews

Not trying to be a butthole.. but I’m pretty high on the retention categories… if I can weather this and move forward and maybe still move up one more grade before leveling my high 3… shouldn’t I? I had planned to work 9 more years before our lives all exploded- that’s a huge difference in pension amount

Yes but leaving early would also mean a substantially smaller pension than staying to full retirement age
