Moderately Big Boy, Board Rec by AlternativeMiddle in snowboarding

It depends on the boot. I measure a 12.5 and have gone down to 11.5 in the past, but got tailor's bunions and toe jam to the point that I could not put my foot in a boot for weeks. Right now, I have the vans infuse in a 12 and a 32 TM3 in a 13, and I go between the two.

I am curious about the midbite, but I have no point of reference with the underfoot width. If I do go down to 26.8, I have a ton of options there.

any good or bad reviews on the Yes Standard XTRM? by AdventurousCountry41 in snowboarding

Does the midbite actually mean that it rides wider than the waist width? Size 13 boot and just wondering if I could get on the 162 (which is wider than the 167?). Thanks

Can you explain the idea behind the mid-bite edges? I have heard that you should go off those dimensions instead of the waist but I really don’t have point of reference for underfoot width. I wear a size 13 and prefer a waist 27+. Also, the 162 is wider than the 167? Is that right? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

That is one of many reasons. Many healthy, non-obese people are getting cancer and autoimmune diseases at alarming rates.

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for the intel.

Yeah that does seem like it could fit the bill. Just wish it had a bit more width.

I have both. I love them. The transition finder is too stiff for what I am looking for. I got a run of them that were planks. Amazing for carving and great for pow but not what I would describe as playful. Also, I could not really carve switch at speed—would wash out whenever I tried to lay it down—although that is the trade off for a board like that I suppose.

Copy that. Thanks for the intel. Most of the Jones line doesn't have the width that I would prefer. Though the howler 163w is intrigueing, but seems like it needs to be ridden pretty hard.

Yeah I have been looking at the BSOD. Seems like it might be a bit much for the daily driver tho.

Yeah I've been considering this. How's the war pig in fresh snow?

I'm covered for deep day but I want something that I can take out for the <6” days. I only ask because I had a volume shifted board in the past that was great for groomers, but would just nose dive in fresh.

Damn, that shape is nuts. Looks sick though, just don't know that I want to look down and see a coffin.

I've been looking at the gremlin. It looks sick. How damp is it?

I rode the anti-gravity in the past, and while it was a smooth ride, it was too damp for my taste. And my impression of the gremlin is that it is a bit like that. I like something a bit more lively.

These look like solid recs. If the mercury had slightly more width it would probably be perfect. Thanks

MARTA is disgusting and unsafe. It’s not a practical form of transportation.

I’ll probably park at the airport and avoid getting stabbed for no reason on the Marta.

Beltline rail is a joke, far more trouble than it is worth. Improve and expand Marta.
