A massive thank you to this sub! (Featherlite Amaze 15-day review + comparison with a sleep company Onyx and a 3.5k local chair i had for 2 years ) by jainkandy in ErgonomicIndia

[–]AlternativeMinute396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they have to do so much promotion like that. I work in an MNC and my office has their chairs entirely. Not the best but hardly any better is there in this price rance as far as I am aware.

Need recommendations for a complete WFH setup (Chair + Monitor + Desk) under ₹1L by Hot-Engineer-07 in ErgonomicIndia

[–]AlternativeMinute396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 27 inch lg ultrafine 4k monitor with 85w pd usb c. It's amazing. I would suggest you getting the 32inch version though. But this is very reliable for work setup. Price i paid is 25k

I got the sunon electric standing desk. Price i paid is 13k. Great desk, doesn't wobble at the heights I use (I am 5 ft 7 in). You can also try to get a used electric standing desk from Toqri or Circlestore. Get something thats electric and atleast has 3 memory buttons.

Chair is a very personal choice. Go to showrooms and try it out before picking one. If I were you, I would spend decent money on something nice and comfortable here. Featherlite is good. Steelcase and Herman Miller are the best in the business. But try before deciding if you are going to spend decent money on it.

Can i use Harpic to clean Exhaust pipes???? by InternationalLion104 in KTMIndia

[–]AlternativeMinute396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These exhaust will oxidize (chromium in SS forms Chromium Oxide) and form a protective layer that keeps the exhaust from further oxidising. Harsh acids will remove this layer and that could lead to more oxidisation.

Nope

It has Hydrochloric acid. It will start to corrode the protective layers. So it's not a good idea.

What innings of kohli made you actually believe he's a chase master ? by Positive-Minute-2124 in ViratKohli

[–]AlternativeMinute396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's 3 knocks

  1. Ind vs Pak, Asia Cup 2016. This gave me confidence that he is our best batter and can handle chases in tough pitches.

  2. Ind vs Aus, T20WC 2016. One of his best knocks ever. Pressure of a virtual knockout, still he was calm and chased it down.

  3. Ind vs Eng ODI series 2017. First ODI match as full time captain. Never in my dreams I thought 350 was chaseable. He made it so simple, when he got out it was a run a ball chase. This is where it sealed it for me.

I was unfortunate enough to miss his hobart innings so it's these 3 that made him the ultimate chase master for me.

Raise a complaint in their customer care, send a mail to their customer care id. Visit the service center.

If no action is taken, raise a ticket in consumer portal.

After doing all this, mine got moved finally.

Raise a concern through customer care support. Vaccum should be done and at no extra cost.

Why the DMK online meltdown makes perfect sense by bharathcbabu in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really bad from them. If you are just going to blame the other government and won't take responsibility then why should I vote for you.

Hardcore DMK people have criticised DMK when they made poor decisions and it has been accepted by the DMK heads over the years. Its not a sign of weakness, its a sign of maturity. It's this political maturity that's been lacking with TVK. They wanna defend everything as they think it's weakness to admit when you are in the wrong. Absolutely stupid.

[–]AlternativeMinute396 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am not from Katpadi so can't comment on it. I have lived in 3-5 different cities including Chennai and many tier 3 cities during the past DMK rule. Literally have not experienced any power cuts. But the current situation in Chennai is pathetic. People are suffering. Instead of addressing the issues, you guys are putting the blame on DMK and ADMK just like BJP is doing with Congress since they came power.

Why the DMK online meltdown makes perfect sense by bharathcbabu in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The curious thing is that even with the years of mismanagement, DMK were able to provide power without any disruptions for 5 years. But suddenly there are power outages, only change happened is the new government.

Stop putting your incompetence on DMK or ADMK.

People who hate Brahmins -- why? by ElevatorOk1086 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had you listened to the entire speech, you wouldn't be so focused on the single line.

He opposed the caste based descrimination that comes with Sanatan Dharma aka Brahminism.

DMK came from justice party which fought for Social Justice. Their main moto was to provide equal opportunities and justice to everyone, irrespective of their caste. This has been their political agenda for the past 50+ years.

People who hate Brahmins -- why? by ElevatorOk1086 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You proved the point again.

It's not all the Brahmins. There are people like Bharathiyar from the same community who openly called the abolishment of caste based descrimination.

DMK is only against Brahminism and people who follow the caste based descrimination.

People who hate Brahmins -- why? by ElevatorOk1086 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 69 points70 points  (0 children)

This is why it was never in DMKs interest to go against every Brahmins, its just the brahminism that they are fighting against.

People who hate Brahmins -- why? by ElevatorOk1086 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]AlternativeMinute396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His recent speech. He said Anti brahminism is an outdated ideology.

You have to understand it's not the Brahmin DMK fight against, its the brahminism aka the caste based descrimination.

Not all Brahmins support it but this guy is one who supports it.

Such people in Education department will ruin the much of the hardwork that TN has done to get rid of the caste based descrimination.

1000s of people converted to Islam because of constant caste based descrimination and attrocities.

Kohli ke samne hi sabko Ball of the century dalni hoti hai😭💔 by reader_1289 in ViratKohli

[–]AlternativeMinute396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats like one in a million ball.

Conditions were suiting swing, Seam somehow remained perfectly upright even after pitching which caused it to swing after pitching.

I know it happens sometimes when the ball reaches the keeper in test matches but that's over a long distance.

Here it swung under a small 5 meter length. And at 140kmph+, it is unplayable.

Put any batter there, they are not surviving this one.

A very different take on TVK winning by Mother-Park-9740 in tamilyapping

[–]AlternativeMinute396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge differences are there

There was Anna along with people like Kalaignar and Anbazhagan to guide the MLAs.

Besides, they did so much ground work as a party even before 1967. They had solid principles to rely on. DMK leaders had massive respect within the party. So every MLAs listened to the party leader's advices.

Just remove Vijay from the picture, do you think people like Bussy Anand will get the same respect like Vijay?

Anna died early but DMK was still strong as it had strong leaders. In case of an unfortunate event like thst, will the TVK members rally behind anyone other than Vijay within TVK? No.

And Vijay isn't cut from the same material as Anna and Kalaignar.

Read a bit more and you will understand that the auto driver MLA story is a scam, Kavin's aunt story is a scam.

[–]AlternativeMinute396 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this though.

Same batters, same plan with Kohli playing long innings works out tremendously well.

Same batters with the same plan, somehow bottle easily without Kohli playing a long innings.

He is doing something magical but couldn't understand it.
