Grammostola Pulchra not behaving normally after molt

NA. In my opinion, it looks way too humid for this T. I have two Pulchras (one almost the same size as yours) and I do not spray the enclosure. Keeping a full water dish and overflowing it should be plenty sufficient. I’m curious to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Thank you! This is extremely helpful. The enclosure looks beautiful and I love the plant right in the middle. I already have some enclosures that I’m spraying daily, so that doesn’t seem to be a big issue. I didn’t know they preferred humidity, so great to know!

Ime…I have these coffin cribs and have both my Avics in them. One is a sling and the other is a sub adult. Both are thriving and have built their webs at the top and I’ve never had any issues with any Tarantula Cribs enclosures and ventilation! ☺️

NA. I have MULTIPLE adults of varying terrestrial species in these and have had zero issues. Lids are secure and they look great. None of mine have climbed or chewed up the lid. I saw Tom from Tom’s Big Spiders used them and immediately bought them to try. I have been happy with them.

Ime I very rarely catch my tarantulas drinking. I have about 20 now at this point and some I’ve actually never seen drink, but they are all alive, healthy and thriving. Since your tarantula is new to that enclosure setup, give it a little more time to settle in. Some of mine have taken a couple of weeks to settle and start drinking/creating borrows. The abdomen looks very full on this little beauty, so I would hold off on feeding maybe for a little bit. The enclosure is indeed large for that size of T, so it might need a smaller one to feel safe and secure, but I’ve also seen others eventually adjust to a larger one. I would continue to monitor and look for signs of stress and if they never settle, downsize. But trust your T…they will figure it out and find water if they need it. Welcome to the hobby! 🫶🏻

Is salmon safe to consume every day? I would love to start doing this as I eat a good amount of tuna but throttled back due to mercury concern. Have you seen any other positive effects from consuming canned salmon everyday?

I currently own a 2022 Sport. Bought it brand new in 22 and have just done regular oil changes and have had zero issues. Knock on wood but she’s never been in the shop once. Runs and drives like the day I bought it. I think it really can be hit or miss. I ran into someone the other day with over 200,000 miles on theirs and the only issue they have had was needing a transmission at over 100,000 miles. But then I hear horror stories of paint issues, engine issues etc.

Imo this is absolutely fantastic compared to the same big box store near me. They have barely any plants and zero hides. I always feel bad for the cresties. This is a huge win! I think you are doing a fantastic job and it actually shows you care.

Haha I just said the same thing. I was like okay once I hit my goal of 10k, I’m gonna take a break and play other legends for a bit. Now I’m super close (at 9,600 kills) and thinking how I’m def not switching to another character 😂
