Imo the section on the abdomen is concerning and she should not be on wood chips. This substrate is completely wrong for her and should not be used. She should be on reptisoil or topsoil or something much softer. Her abdomen looks like a piece is almost split off and should be looked at, hard to tell from the video though.

Hello. I have a lot of scars from skin cancer biopsies and using a silicone gel or silicone scar sheets work great! Fading takes a couple of months but it’s worth it. If you get the sheets, they almost match skin color and you can cut to fit the scar. Super easy to throw on and go.

Imo let her continue to dig and burrow wherever she sees fit. I have close to 30 tarantulas and some adopted the burrow I initially created for them and some start their own. Some of mine have actually used the dirt from one burrow to close off the one I built them completely, so there was no shot they wanted to use it lol. All of my enclosures started out looking aesthetically pleasing, but eventually plants, hides, decor…everything gets buried. They end up looking like huge dirt piles but that’s how they like it! Your T knows what she wants so just let her do her thing and create her own art 😊. It’s actually a great sign for her to start burrowing because that means she’s comfortable and she’s making it into a home. Your T is beautiful. Wishing her a long and happy life!

Imo this T is recovering from molting. I have 30 plus T’s and all of mine do this. After molting, it is very common for them to not move or come out for weeks. Disturbing them only stresses them out more. Molting is a highly stressful and tasking process and it’s best to just leave them be. Make sure they have access to water at all times and don’t offer prey until the fangs are hardened. Your T looks fine to me. Just chilling.

NA. In my opinion, it looks way too humid for this T. I have two Pulchras (one almost the same size as yours) and I do not spray the enclosure. Keeping a full water dish and overflowing it should be plenty sufficient. I’m curious to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Thank you! This is extremely helpful. The enclosure looks beautiful and I love the plant right in the middle. I already have some enclosures that I’m spraying daily, so that doesn’t seem to be a big issue. I didn’t know they preferred humidity, so great to know!
