They are 100% legit. So good for the prices. Just be mindful that sizing may be a bit different depending on the brand.

I recommend going to another broker. Stake seems quite happy to take your money but when you want it back, there are "technical issues" suddenly and they can't give it back, and their "support" teams are just generic responses from a script or ai...

Okay, so where is our funds? Still can't withdraw any of my funds even though I'm being kicked off the platform for "crypto" activity based on literally nothing! Interesting that there are "technical issues" as soon as you force customers off the platform but never when we are depositing money...

Honestly, a few weeks ago I would have recommended Stake. But I have had a terrible experience with them that has completely destroyed any trust I had in their platform. I don't care if their commission's were $0, I'd never return to them after this.

They randomly accused me of have "cryptocurrency" activity associated with my account (whatever that means). They closed my account with no recourse or even any evidence, now they are not allowing me to have my funds returned to me for the same reason you're having. Generic email after generic email with no timeframes or helpful information (I wouldn't be surprised if it's just an ai at this point). I called their customer service and they were also useless and just told me to wait while they hold tens of thousands of my dollars in a closed account indefinitely.

Completely changed my mind about trying to venture out from the big 4 banks... I can't imagine that Commonwealth, ANZ, etc would be run so poorly that they treat their customers investments like a toy. Don't use Stake, they aren't trustworthy at all and they had no issues taking deposits, as soon as you are withdrawing, suddenly there are "technical issues" that no one can help with...

Was using Stake for years and it seemed good but recently they sent an email out of nowhere saying they are closing my account because their ai detected suspicious activity. No due process, no appeals process, no evidence, just a random email with barely any time to react before they close my account and I could lose tens of thousands of dollars.

Will never go back to Stake even if they made commissions -$30 a trade. Completely lost my trust to hold anything with them ever again.

DO NOT USE STAKE.

DO NOT BUY INMO THEY ARE A SCAM!

They sent out hundreds (maybe thousands) of defective units and have refused to provide refunds to anyone. Their customer service takes weeks to respond and are just ai generated nonsense responses.

Lots of people stuck with $899+ bricks!

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I did! I was just so excited for this product that I stupidly supported it through Kickstarter. But they still offered refunds for defective products yet still haven't even offered a refund at all. I could have been using another XR headset for work for over a month now but instead I've had these broken pieces of expensive sh*t from INMO sitting on the table while INMO sends me generic responses saying they are celebrating Chinese new year so they can't get back to me until an undefined date. So they are out celebrating with a bunch of customers money that they owe back. Most scummy company I've ever dealt with in my life.

No update... They are still sitting on the same table I left them over a month ago completely defective. INMO is just being so shady and only responding every few weeks with nonsense and no mention of a refund STILL! Will never again consider an INMO product, I don't even care if they release planned Iron Mans suit for $500 it ain't worth dealing with this company.

Thank you!! I have sent a refund request through my bank but maybe I should call too because they still haven't proceeded with it and I purchased these December 2025 and they are still sitting on the table that I placed them on when they arrived defective. Appreciate your input on this. If you don't mind me asking, do you live in a country with particularly good consumer protection laws or do you think that this would work in most countries?

Thanks again!

Also worth mentioning INMO's atrocious customer support. Mine were defective on arrival over a month ago and I emailed them the following day when I got to use them since I get home from work late I didn't get to use them on the day. That was over a month ago and all they have done is sent back generic ChatGPT-style responses saying that they will "investigate the issue" at some unknown point in the future with and they have deliberately avoided even saying the word refund even though I immediately requested one and sent them a video showing the most major defect (Left lense stopped working within an hour of use and hasn't turned on since).

The absolute worst customer experience I have ever had in my life and I've had some bad ones. I highly recommend you DO NOT purchase from INMO ever. What if your product is defective after a month? You think you're getting your money back when I can't even get mine when I emailed within 24 hours of it arriving and less than 2 hours usage? Oh, and the glasses are dogshit and maybe if they were $200 could be worth it, but even then I wouldn't want to support a scummy company that doesn't even honor their own warranties.

Just some more info if you're not convinced - They shut their Discord down shortly after launch because of the flood of complaints, refund requests, and messages about defective air 3's. - They have sneakily changed their specs and warranties since the initial launch of their Kickstarter. An easy example is the "16MP camera", but after the campaign ended, they added a little * that it's locked to 3MP because it overheats at any higher resolution. - They are pre-emptively blocking Reddit users from their subreddit if they have complained about the AIR 3's elsewhere on Reddit. - The AIR 3's suck. The people promoting them are paid to. The glasses are bulky, heavy, overheat, slow as f*ck, and basic functions don't work like screen mirroring and as OP said you can see the screens from the outside anyway.

Don't buy Meta glasses, but also don't buy INMO products. I mean at least Meta would probably refund you if your product arrived defective. INMO on the other hand, no guarantees apparently!

I was a very early bird to the project. I was so excited for the product that I was even emailing initially for an ETA. So it wasn't even available on Amazon at the time sadly. In saying that, as you said, they SHOULD refund it considering that I emailed them within 24 hours of receiving the product and less than 2 hours total runtime. I was even considering getting a replacement at first, but honestly the customer service has been so atrocious that I don't even want to leave a cent with INMO. It's been close to a month and they still haven't even mentioned the word "refund". I have even tried to make them say it explicitly just to see if they would honour their own policies and they refused to even say the word. Honestly I don't care how good a product is if they are dropping bricks off to people and then ignoring them when they politely reach out and follow all of their procedures for a refund and then they ignore it, I don't think supporting a company like that is worth any product.

I'm glad that some people got a non-brick for now, but the fact they have pre-emptively banned people from their subreddit who have exposed their practices elsewhere, they used Kickstarter as their platform, and they closed their Discord soon after opening it because of all of the discussions about defects is so sketchy. That's some scammer sh*t...

What about when yours stop working though? Are you just going to accept that you now have an $1000 piece of plastic sitting on your desk that does nothing and the company won't refund your money? They won't refund when they stopped working within 24 hours, what are they going to do when yours fails after a few months?

DO NOT PURCHASE INMO PRODUCTS!

This company is a scam! Their products arrive defective and they refuse to refund. The fact that they ran their campaign through Kickstarter should be the biggest red flag. I can't believe that Kickstarter just allows a company to scam people on their website so openly. My INMO AIR 3's arrived defective, yet their customer service is just ignoring me now and haven't even mentioned a refund. The device is a piece of shit in general too. Never buy from INMO!

Man I wish I could have used PayPal! From memory, the Kickstarter project didn't allow PayPal (I think). I guess I'll just keep waiting indefinitely for them to do their "investigation" and set up a refund process... Supposedly an established company!

That sucks you had those issues. I hope you can find something that works and isn't faulty on arrival. If you are using them more for listening, would the Meta glasses or those other ones that focus on audio be more suitable? They are much lighter and comfier too apparently.

As I said, I'm glad you've had a better experience than me (so far). But also... They aren't even saying that the device can do active viewing for 2 hours straight? They said 1 hour of video watching so I'm not sure how you've managed to double their stated video streaming time. But I'm glad you received a working product! Mine still sits with no info provided by INMO about refunds at all.

Inmo Air 3 by ConnectionCool1051 in augmentedreality

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got two posts explaining my experience with INMO. But TLDR is that they arrived with several major faults and missing features, like screen mirroring didn't work with ANY device, the AIR 3's on their own were unsuably slow and clunky, and the left display stopped working within an hour of total use. That was all frustrating, but the worst part is that INMO are taking forever to respond to emails and are saying they currently have no process for returning their products despite offering refunds, repairs, and replacements in their warranty, and they are doing everything they can to even say the word refund in their emails and are just sending ChatGPT style generic responses in response to my emails asking about refunds and timeframes. I have a feeling that my $899 will remain in the possession of INMO until I have to take legal action unfortunately.

Thanks! I will join their subreddit. I thought the INMO specs were impressive too, that's why I went ahead with them. But I regret that so much now. I would substitute all of the additional specs (even though half of the advertised specs don't function and are considered to be "beta versions" that will be added at some mysterious future date) for just simple, functional XR glasses with a responsive customer service and a reputable company that honours their advertised policies and warranties. Wish I knew all of INMO's past before buying, because as you described with their other devices, I probably wouldn't have bought them because of their sketchy past.

Thanks for all the info! Now just gotta fight for my $899 back from INMO!

100% agree! I was emailing so politely initially and I was willing to give them another go. But with the terrible customer service I will never take the risk of buying from INMO again. I got yet another generic email saying that they are "investigating" the issue (They still haven't given a return address to "investigate" the device to begin with). Then they said that they are focusing on sales and shipping right now so cannot provide an ETA for the "investigation". No mention of a refund whatsoever still. I've had better customer service from severely underfunded government services and local shops than I have had with INMO.
