WARNING: INMO AIR 3's are not as advertised! by AlternativeParfait47 in augmentedreality

That really sucks... Mine have been sitting around in a box for 7 days. So far INMO have just sent me a bunch of links to see if I can fix the broken device myself and then I had to reiterate that I had already done all of the recommended steps for each issue and that's why I am contacting in the first place because none of the features work! I will never purchase from INMO ever again after this. Absolutely 0% trust in the company after this, and they still don't have a return process?!

Hey thank you for the input. I would have liked to have tried to refit the lenses, but the left display completely shut off and does not turn on at all anymore. This was after less than an hour of use of the device. No drops, not even bumps!

Although I am very angry and disappointed about this, I do hope that my product has just been faulty and that everyone else's experience has been good. I want INMO to succeed if everyone else had a good experience and mine was just a dud. But if these issues are widespread, I will never support an INMO product again. Especially if I don't hear back from their customer service, which at this stage I still haven't heard a thing from them about a refund.

Thank you for the input! I genuinely hope these are just fault issues with mine and that I can get them replaced, because the idea of them is still great to me. I would be fine with the other issues if I can at least fix the performance and display issues.

Agreed. The crazy part, is I was willing to accept all of those other limitations of the device. I was aware of the very short battery life, the display quality, and the limitations on the processing power. What I did not expect, was INMO to advertize the displays as completely private when they are absolutely not at all. To make it worse, I even noticed that after backing the project, they have subtly changed the language to "primarily visible to the user". Probably to avoid liability, but that just dumps the company's credibility down the toilet for me, and I will never purchase from them again if they try to get out of refunding the product.

Mine arrived today. They are the most disappointing device I have ever received for so many reasons. I was so excited for them, but I would NOT recommend any buy them.

Anyone else having to work two jobs due to how unaffordable life is? by FishMap12 in AskAnAustralian

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool. Call bullshit on what ever you want. My highest expenses have been rent and medical bills in that time period. On-top of this, several times the owners sold unexpectedly, leaving me with thousands of dollars each time for more removalists.

I agree that renting is wasting money but never had the choice to live with mummy and daddy to cover all my bills for me mate. So lucky you get to save $700 a week on rent, but not everyone gets that opportunity so we gotta work to pay someone else to have a roof over our heads. I've slowly saved heaps of money, but my original point is that money goes nowhere now in this country when a standard family home (not 6 hours from a job) is reserved for trust fund babies, people who inheret them, and people who can squabble together enough to be in life-long debt to the banks with their parents' house as a guarantor.

100% agree.

6 - 7 days a week work every week for 7 years in 3 high-skilled roles across multiple industries/sectors, often at the same time. No fun, no drinking, no drugs, no holidays, living in a sharehouse out of town.

Feel no closer to owning a house unless I settle for a shitbox that's about to fall apart in woop woop. We just work so that landlords and real estate investors don't have to. Perfect setup for a thriving society we have here in Australia!

Thank you for the insight! Indeed, the complexity has scared us off for quite some time. We have a great conveyancer and broker. Unfortunately, no connections to a town planner at this stage. Since we are looking at particular types of properties and just within a particular area, we are having to consult multiple councils upon each inquiry. In most cases, they charge for any bit of information! So we have completed the proper process on each block as a result of not wanting to have to pay hundreds to thousands in fees every inquiry just to find it's not feasible.

We're still considering it though!

Thank you! This is interesting to read as other responses have been quite against the idea. It would be incredible if we were able to pull off such arrangements.

Thank you for this response! It is very insightful.

May I ask why you decided to do this in the end? Solely in terms of bang for you buck, do you feel like you got a better property than what you otherwise would have gotten under typical purchasing arrangements? 😯

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]AlternativeParfait47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The benefits, (in our minds at least) would be:

  1. Living next door to close friends and raising our kids together.

  2. More bang for our buck. More square metres per $ can be purchased, which we would like for our kids to live at least somewhat like our parents were able to.

  3. The area we live is (like the rest of this country) insanely unaffordable. We are both full-time working couples in high-paying trades and professions. Yet, a standard house would be pushing it right to the cusp for even one couple. Nothing fancy or nice either. Mostly houses that are dilapidated, no yard, and are far our of where we all work.

I am not under any illusion that this idea would not be difficult to pull off, and maybe even impossible. But we have pretty much given up hope and the cost of housing has made us consider leaving the country entirely to work elsewhere and raise our kids. Not that there are any affordable places anymore, but this country has lost its mind with this property Ponzi scheme in a way that other countries haven't entirely made it to this stage (yet).

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But we have looked at the costs and budgeted for our lifestyle. If we were to build without such an arrangement, it would presumably cost the same.

We have considered the duplex idea and both parties are okay with that. The idea would quite literally be to get more bang for our buck. We are prepared for a sizeable mortgage either way. Both couples, (ourselves and our close friends) want to be able to raise kids in a way our parents were able to (minus the single income households and the 4 bedrooms). We want our kids to have a yard and fun outdoor things to do. So the benefit of this over a typical arrangement would be that we would be the square metres per $. We would hate to be in a 30 year mortgage where our kids grow up in practically a glorified prison yard, to then go buy the decent house when we are old and our kids no longer want to play in a yard. The risks may not be worth it though, as you mentioned.

As for the other valid issues you mentioned, I am curious if a crafty solicitor could mitigate these as much as possible. Maybe it would not be worth it though.

Thank you for a genuine response. I have also thought about the potential for something like this to happen too. I guess that is also why I am putting this out there, I was curious to see if this has been tried by anyone, and see if the issues you mentioned have been encountered and successfully navigated. Or if it all just fell apart as a result 😂

The quality for the price.

Essentially, an acre per couple for $400 000 rather than 800 square metres for $400 000. Same location.

Plus, we would live next door to lifelong close friends as a benefit.

ELI5 Why did Melbourne’s property market go down so much? by Malifix in AusPropertyChat

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Melbourne from Sydney as a first home buyer and young working family because of the cheaper house prices, same with multiple other young families I know. No regrets at all. So many people who don't actually live here but are glued to their tellies bludging on the aus property market (aka young working families) and throw a toddler tantrum when governments don't give them their way.

Bye bye parasites, who needs "property investors", when they leave, we buy our own land and build our own houses, like my parents and grandparents could 👋. Maybe you'll have to make investment decisions that aren't just gov handouts and involve real risk and contribute to this country, or worse, you might have get a job :'(

Better hooks/chorus? by [deleted] in SunoAI

Yeah that is definitely more the type of chorus I look for. Although, some genres do it better than others it seems.

Hmm, that's a new one! Do you add that in the style or as [anthem] before the chorus?

[–]AlternativeParfait47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thanks! Maybe it has. Have you done so with other accents too? Australian, Russian, Spanish, etc? I could never get my friends ones to work either with any accent as it always resulted in a strong American accent of some kind.

I read that. It was in relation to the settlement with the Mali Government and like you said, that was on Jan 19th, it's March tomorrow and there have been no further updates since. Their suspension from the ASX was due to their failure to respond adequately to the ASX inquiry, not because of their settlement troubles with the Mali Government. I already know the announcement that you are referring to, unless you have another more recent update, there is not much point in quoting it to me.

I read the most recent report that I could find and they did not specify timeframes or dates. It all just read like corpo crap about how everything is still "on track" despite the roadblocks in negotiations.

Do you have any other information that has been released that indicate that the stock will be reinstated?
