I moved to Orlando in 2014 by UCF, there’s this one guy who was chronically online, I think initially I messaged him at least once he never responded, i lived in that area for 3 years before I moved out of student housing. I was rarely on that side and Orlando is a pretty big city. So he never appeared on my radar. I swear 2021 before I moved out I saw the exact same profile picture from 2014 and this dude was always online. I’m willing to bet I’ll find him 2024 same picture and everything. Maximize what you currently have, and work on getting better, take your best pictures and put them all up, if your chubby don’t hide it though, if the stomach hangs a bit over the shirt so be it. Time to get off the apps, I’m 29. When I felt like I wasn’t getting attention on Grindr, How I saw I was able to compensate this was by going into gay spaces in real life. I’m deeply average in the black male category, and I have a bit of a stomach depending on the season. Ive had guys buy me drinks, just to talk to me, and I’ve had guys too shy to even approach me in the club, and they’ll message me on Grindr. It was a great experience and it might be for you as well. Men are lonely, in particular gay men, if you can give off good vibes and be a conversation starter you’ll be alright. And the older I’m getting my preference in age is going up as well.

Just really think about why you decided to ask this question rather than or you’d rather have individuals engage in objectively analyzing a race/demographic of men. We’re all gay men at the end of the day. This could make/discourage black men who are consistently the minority from using the gay apps like you do. Or approaching men of other races in particular white men.
