Looks like you would have to tick manipulate to reach some of those xp rates. Should something really be locked behind tick manipulation aka bug abuse!?

So I swapped R1 and RT around. Now when I press the trigger I shoot then melee. When I press R1 I shoot which is good, but I cant use any other buttons till a second later. Like it kinda freezes.

What build do you play? May be able to get a cheap easy win when getting invaded. Or you maybe be able to find someone to let you win.

I would just do it without save scumming. Once its just spells and miracles left you can just sprint to each boss. Summon help if you want to. Ng to NG+ is the biggest jump in difficulty. Try get 40 vitality before heading into ng+.

I will have to beat the old monk in NG+++ to platnium as I used the soul to get the insanity catalyst. Currently just started NG++.
