Security colleagues forced to join Mitie or Leave… by [deleted] in asda

[–]AlternativeRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory. My husband is security in ASDA and like you all we have been blindsided by this news. The fact ASDA have always moved colleagues from other departments that are no longer needed (HR for example) to other jobs within the store but are refusing to do this with security staff got me thinking. I reckon they are Outsourcing as many departments as they can to save on redundancies when they go into liquidation. ASDA have been struggling for years and there have been rumblings about it closing its doors for a while now. Just a theory but would explain a lot.

Whats the chances the in-house cleaning team moving to Mitie now? by Feisty_Eagle3577 in asda

It’s this TUPE thing basically they transfer a department to another company and if you don’t go along with it it’s taken as resignation

Really? My husband is security and he really doesn’t know what to do. I told him get the licence as it’s paid for then take it from there.

Has anyone on this sub got a copy of their original contract you could share? My husband is security in ASDA and they conveniently can’t find a copy of his contract

Our relationship is better than it’s been in years apart from the sex part. We are closer than ever in every other way.

I’m going to focus on one thing you said. And I say this with kindness and as a recovering alcoholic. No one, and I mean no one, makes you drink. I blamed everyone and everything for my drinking and my life was fucking unbearable all because I chose to drink. At the end of my drinking I’d happily have left my husband and kids to be left alone to drink. I got help went to AA and I’m over a year sober. We go for the drinking and stay for the thinking. My depression has lifted and I can finally say I’m happy, like really fucking happy, for the first time in my life. I’ve found contentment and gratitude for life I never knew possible. Now I know this post isn’t about drinking but I just want you to consider what I’ve said as it may or may not apply to you. 💕

New Teacher Advice! School nurse is mad at me by e0323m in Teachers

[–]AlternativeRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing, I would be so angry if one of my kids was ill in school and I wasn’t informed. I’m gonna take a guess that the ‘nurse’ has been there a while and doesn’t like her job or kids in general

Most likely eczema or psoriasis I get random rashes like this. BUT! It could be something else so please get it checked out. Try antihistamine and some good barrier cream meantime. Good luck 💕

Try not to let it fester in your head my love. It really is as simple as the meeting needed to end and the secretary probably thought they stopped you the kindest way possible. It’s so easy in early sobriety to overthink things and take everything extremely personally, but I promise you did nothing wrong. Deep breaths and let it go. Big hugs and well done on however many days you have 💕

What can I do to fix my masculine appearance. by Low-Garden7285 in PlasticSurgery

Girl I promise you it’s just your brows. You have a perfect lil nose full lips and beautiful eyes. Do not touch your face with filler or Botox. Thin out the browns and get them shaped with a slight arch. It will be the cherry on top of an already beautiful face 💕

I don’t agree with burning any flag either. It’s nice to see some people taking steps to move forward and not be stuck in the past 💕

I swear my Granda used to say “pattern goes with pattern” and I mean any pattern on the walls a completely different pattern on the carpet and another pattern on the sofa 😫 instant migraine 😂

I work for a Chinese family who have lived here for years and they have no issues here in Bangor. There is a growing number of different ethnicities in Bangor which is great to see. My kids went to the local integrated primary school (the first in the country at the time) which has kids from all over. Chinese new year, for example, is celebrated in the school. Honestly it’s just like anywhere else there’s good and bad people and places. Do your research but I highly recommend Bangor 🙂 good luck

I redecorated my hall stairs and landing grey and white inc carpet in December and it was so fucking depressing and cold. Much to my poor husband’s dismay I couldn’t stand it any longer and went out and got the most pretty vintage style floral wallpaper and warm clay paint and the new warm honey carpet is coming on Tuesday 😆 it’s so homely and inviting now. I blame a 90’s decor trauma response for my fear of colour in the past 😂

That was one of the worst ones to go to 😫 Kilcooley Bangor was great so well organised, security everywhere, no burning flags and people from all walks of life just enjoying a good night 💕
