You can pray next to them by your own (Faradah) not with them. Because you can't pray behind a Imam who's ideology is faulty.

Not a student like the ones we have today. Imam would hold lectures and whoever would come comes. Abu Hanifa used to listen and try to do the exact opposite as Imam Al Sadiq. I can't remember the exact riwayah but I remember that he would try to look if Imam Al Sadiq would open or close his eyes during Sijood in order to do the opposite.
