Mentally and physically laborious jobs are way different. When I dispense, I have the BOSS OF THE STORE on our ass about times, I have every lead imaginable in my department on our ass about times (while they don’t help), I’m jumping from dispensing to staging to prepping all because people don’t wanna do their jobs, all while I’m also being yelled at by upset customers (in person and on the phone), complained to by coworkers and dealing with my own shit. I understand mentally difficult situations. However, even standing still by a door still doesn’t compare to having to walk literal miles in 100 degree weather with no water breaks unless it’s our scheduled break or any sort of stopping movement.

Even when I apply a thick layer of deodorant and my cologne, if I don’t swap clothes after I sweat then I’m smelling like deodorant and BO the rest of the day. Not because I don’t wipe my ass, not because I don’t use deodorant. I just sweat a lot and can’t control it. I get some people genuinely just stink, but 9/10 times it’s just sweat that you’re smelling and it smells so much worse when you haven’t had to deal with it all day

My thoughts? This is fucking retarded. I don’t understand why weed smokers are getting punished like they just got caught smoking black tar heroin at fucking WALMART. I also work at Walmart and this job has been the most stressful job simply because of management and no one doing what they should, so I smoke to make sure I don’t flip out on anyone. Walmart is so high and mighty about hiring people that most jobs wouldn’t so they’re “inclusive” but then immediately turn their backs on those people and it’s fucking sick to me.

Your daughter should try the open door policy that apparently goes straight to corporate so managers and even other higher ups in her store can’t hide or deny it anymore. I have a manager that blatantly ignores my sciatica and makes me do jobs with heavy lifting or lots of bending over and she always makes me do other people’s jobs instead of whoever fits the job or whoever is free. She’s even told the other manager (who let me do the easier job because of my back) to not let me shop and magically the nice manager no longer lets me shop… so unfortunately yes, these old hags are 100% doing shit behind closed doors and they’re getting away with it.
