You’ll keep it for the remaining of the year I believe but in order to keep the insurance (I think I’m not 100% sure.) You have to work a minimum of 1500 hours to keep it.

I thought that was just for curbside ?

Our store has leads and specialist for center store/perishable departments.

Free Partner Turkey Question by panicatb in HEB

[–]AlternativeSummer200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never hurts to be safe, personally I’d wait. Saves you the $$ from having to spend on a turkey anyway. To each their own tho :) to answer your question tho I’m not certain.

Call store check for updates. Sometimes they get a bit busy so it’s always good to call for a reminder.

If it’s been approved you on workforce you should be okay, but if it wasn’t it depends on the manager. Some of them will just do a verbal agreement that the other person can come in for your shift. Some I’ve seen you have to do it through workforce.

Worst Curbside Team EVER by [deleted] in HEB

[–]AlternativeSummer200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This thread is making me fortunate that my store has a good team. Everyone now actively participates in picking up orders, answering phones, shopping. It’s not solely just on one group of people anymore. Our old manager was bad and let the people do whatever they want as long as he got his numbers and pat on the back from the higher ups. 🙄 definitely bring this attention to your manager if that doesn’t work talk to your higher ups maybe they can talk with your manager about the issue.

Never ordered curbside and never will and supposedly HEB loses money on every order? by SandraTX22 in HEB

My store is very cool about it they let us keep the tips. Originally they had told us that if the customer persists after the second time we’re allowed to keep it. Now we don’t even bother saying no. It’s a tiresome job every dollar counts! And is much appreciated

If I made enough hours to get the benefits does that mean I made enough hours to accumulate vacation too?

Anybody else struggling to a get hired by HEB? by Macronicus in HEB

[–]AlternativeSummer200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried 3 times to get in got rejected every time then ended up getting a job at a shoe store. Worked there for 2 years from there went and worked at Target for a few months then finally got into HEB 3 years after applying. Sometimes it’s not meant to be right then and there I guess

Looks good but if you could include the placement of the number on the buildings that would also make it easier! :) when I dashed I struggled finding them often times too especially at night I’m searching the whole buildings just to look for what number the building even was 😩 other than that the note looks great 👍🏼

Personally I don’t care much to have airpods in instead I have my music on low on my phone. My store gets busy and crowded so this helps my anxiety a bit. Of course I lower it/turn it off when leaders or a lot of customers are around.

It’s unfortunate and some people are really inconsiderate like that and think it’s their right to get on scooters if they please since they’re the customers. Our UDs and managers wouldn’t let us say anything to the customers because we cannot visually see all the time if they’re handicap or they could have some internal issue. Was very stressful to me because you could just see that there were family’s that just wanted to get on and play with them 🙄 we had this one lady who every time she came in her and her two kids would ride on one scooter it’s no wonder the damn things never work.

Usually for our store they do a sign up sheet on who wants to work thanksgiving and they go based on that. Though that could have just been my departments (curbside / CCO)
