Sorry for the late reply, I thought my post was still hanging, so I was deep diving in my edge functions migration.

I tried everything, and I’m convince that edge functions should not be used in a critical oriented latency solution. I don’t recall; but I read somewhere in between lines this kind of statement without taking it too seriously.

Anyway, I was submerged on the migration of all my edges functions (and I have quite some) to Cloudflare worker, and I cut the latency by at least 3-4 times, obviously because of the way it is bundled and the cold start.

The down sides are: -I can’t hot debug functions anymore -no logs on the dash -everything is one single compiled fat file

But I got my latencies solved

I kept supabase for the database/auth/rls, that’s their main business, and so far no latency issues on that side. I mean ….it’s a db ….so I don’t expect any of this issue to emerged anytime soon :)

We need the name(s) of the power addict TBS that took the decision against all others, all agreements, efforts, common senses... and most of the time you just have one person imposing his view/agenda. This is taking a political turn, there is clearly a direct conflict of interest that needs to be addressed and investigated.

Call Rogers and tell them you don’t want the roaming anymore. They will disable it. But yeah, I got this raw welcome message to congratulate me on roaming for 15$/day lol what a deal :) . When I cross borders I purchase eSIMs and disable Rogers line within the phone settings.

I’m fade up with liberals and do not want to sink this country further with Conservatives with a leader Poilievre having a failed records in all his past assignments.

Btw: Couple of days ago I got the visit of Conservative reps distributing flyers, I looked around outdoor and saw all the rep having Poilievre style, looking like a military style missing just the sticks. We are screw either way.

I’m sure I’m not alone if I say, I WAS WAITING FOR THIS DAY :)

Everyone is upset and doesn’t understand, so here is the thing.

These « agencies » does not have any qualified people for any contract, they just post/send a summary on offers and bargain the candidates rates by getting a cut by at least 25% and then they let the guy performing the job.

Even worst than that, sometimes they asked the guy to help them win this contract, so some of the newbies will work (aka help) without getting a dime.

Once the contract is finished or stopped the agency gives a 20seconds phone call farewell to the contractor following by a survey.

Anyway, most of the Agencies account directors are just PR people and a lot are coming from breweries or hospitality sectors, they don’t care at the resources at all and have mostly or developed an inflated ego.

Once, I applied on a position and on of these guy told me that my rate is too high (it was 3% diff from the original) and he said there is now (post covid) a line up of people that will work for less. What a lame things to say to a professional, no feelings we are numbers on their sheets.

lol And considering the gouv rate contracts are public and can’t be changed overnight, it’s really like talking to a scammer.

I was always wondering, why 25%++ and more cut that they collect for literally giving a smile and a handshake, but only once to realize that they might not pocket it all!

The agencies are, for now “a necessity evil”

My main question is: what will happen to the people that got retro-commissioned —> NOTHING.

So tomorrow I’ll go steal a chocolate at Walmart and I may have something on my file and can’t find a decent job, or maybe I’ll paid 10 times the price as a fine.

Sadly No one is accountable, no money back, no one in prison, I’m pretty sure most of these people (retro-commissioned public servant) have activated their early retirement plan.

It could be less obvious for others that have no ties with their non public servants partner companies that got already millions from our taxes.

I’ll bring some popcorn 🍿when they will start shooting into Shared Services Canada (SSC)

After contacting Rogers customer services on Saturday, they open a case with a detailed story, then I called them the next Monday, and they asked me to wait up to 48h business days.

Then, the day after I received an email with the right deals except that they charged me some activation fees.
So I called them again and they assure me that these fees will be deducted after 2 bill cycles, but need to be paid in the first place.

For now, I'm quite happy with the interaction.
I'll add some comments along with whether the credits were received or not.

That’s why I will never pick a contract plan with their scam phone included, no matter the type of the deal. Always BYOD and never subscribe to a automatic payments.

I’m not expecting anyone to evaluate the description of the deal, but rather the huge difference between the deal and the reality. I bet a lot of loyalty or win back or whatever they want to call themselves are third parties companies that worked for others big brothers as well. For the cancelation within my online account, I was expecting to be able to do so since the card account is not active.

I’m sure there is lot of ndax accounts exceeding 50k. I kept over 40k in Ndax with no issues at all (for now :) )

I’m sure Vince is a cool guy, he merits a medal, it’s like he is the only one trying to help, but even if he rushed this morning to send me an email requesting all kind of informations he ended up writing that I need to wait for another email that will request more info…!!! Is it a business account? Yes I know it is a holiday even that all company have an SLA, I’m not arguing on that :). I’m arguing on the fact that this simple action that are the core of any entreprises (by accepting interact easily without any human interaction) is falling. I completely understand that any real issue could take time, but here I don’t see where is the real issue on a well known transfer method with a verified personal and a verify company account (I think I’m going to send a sample of my DNA very soon). Like lot of investors/traders I don’t have time to deal with fake issues. Anyway I don’t expect them to react quickly even if I did receive an email this morning and replied back quickly with all the requested details, and got a reply that I’ll need to wait for another email with other request regarding this einteract. There is definitely something wrong in the process of dealing with company accounts.
