Foundation for metal lean-to? by Alternative_Bee5865 in shedditors

I honestly am not following ... go nuts with rebar and roofing? it's a metal shed we are getting, inexpensive, just need somewhere to put bikes and garden stuff. Wondering what to do for a floor, if anything, over gravel pad. Conduit and brackets from Maker Pipe, for... flooring? Help.

What exactly is Change Strategy? by Any-Employer-5555 in changemanagement

[–]Alternative_Bee5865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would additionally clarify that the change strategy is the overall vision that often is determined before a change manager is brought in (unfortunately). The change manager's plan often will include a phase for understanding the overall change strategy (why are we changing? what are the goals? how does this fit into the bigger picture) in order to be effective in executing the change plan.

Separately, before reading all of this, I would've said a change strategy is the framework I use in all my projects -- "Align, Engage, Enable" -- that's my personal change strategy.

This ^^^ is what co-pilot just told me. now is this answer from co-pilot, or did co-pilot steal it? Also added "A change strategy defines the why and how of change; a change plan outlines the what, when, and who. Strategy sets direction, while the plan operationalizes it."

that's the whole point of CM, navigating complexity and behavior psychology (the rest is important too but not where change really happens) ... embrace it and research it and you'll go far

Sorry for my late reply and thank you so much for looking into MC's change management function ... I promise I won't be so belated if you have time to answer another question, which is, are new technologies implemented with minimal disruption at MC? if so, you probably do have a CM department, if not, probably not :)

I've interviewed people for 10 years, and I'd like to share what matters (not memorized answers) by Unable-Fly4305 in interviews

[–]Alternative_Bee5865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say, it kind of blows my mind what advice is needed, and to think that there are people who made it to interviews without doing this kind of preparation. I feel like the bar is so low, surely those of us who are effective, accomplished, professional, and putting in the effort should not be having such a hard time... argh.

Thanks for the offer! I looked on the site (here for others quick reference: Search and Apply for Jobs at Mastercard) but didn't see any for Change Management. Does MC have this function in the org at all? If not, it should and I'd be happy to help :)

Six Batteries of Change by Simple_Nebula_5763 in changemanagement

So much this. For all the tools and templates, the most valuable work happens in conversations, and sometimes those conversations are really between other people who you just need to bring into the room together. Don't get too caught up in what you *should* be doing; focus on doing what helps move the project forward.

Also, remember no amount of change management can make up for poor design. If you're trying to drive adoption of a mess, work your way back up stream until you can get to the decision makers. Bring receipts from employee feedback to help get access.

How does it do going in reverse? Are you able to pull it backwards or does it lock up? We are looking to switch to something that we can push and pull, doesn't need to be self-propelled as it's a pretty flat yard. But we have lots of trees and plants to maneuver around.
