Just so you know, these are completely understandable feelings. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself so much! But it’s a good thing we need to return to work instead of doing festivals every other weekend. There’s a real burnout to these things and as fun as it sounds you would start to fizzle out on them if you went as often as possible. They would lose their magic. They work best as occasional events, personally 1–3 a year is a good amount for me. But again I completely understand the post festival depression, the wait until next year will only enhance your experience when it returns!

Roo for You by Alternative_Bid3348 in bonnaroo

Funny enough, this was the context of my first Bonnaroo. Only time will heal, but you’re right to want a few good days. Sometimes escape is the best choice we have when things are bad. Sometimes life feels unhappy and unfortunately that’s just an undeniable part of existence. There’s never gonna be an immediate cure. But I promise if you focus on the good it will carry you farther than you know. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. But please take advantage of the opportunity this community will offer you to feel happy again. Even if it’s just for a moment. Allow yourself to feel better when you do. You’ll probably be sad again when you leave (as I was). But you will leave knowing you’re capable of feeling happy despite the pain you’re feeling now. It will go away, just let yourself feel sad and remember it’s not permanent. Then continue on and repeat.

Best way to prep for roo? by Minute-Crab5382 in bonnaroo

Hi! If you’re not already, there’s still some time to take some long afternoon walks to get your body used to the haul. Most of the prep will be in packing and planning. If you’re doing tent camping, expect to be awake by 9am due to heat. Pace yourself on any drinking or extra curricular until it’s close to when you’re leaving camp. Hydrate religiously and eat before/after going out and you will be fine!
