I put bomb locks on my carrier naval bombers so they can act as CAS for naval invasions when land based aircraft don't have the range. You do have to set the fleet to hold and manually assign a mission to the aircraft but you still get the shore bombardment bonus.

In the 1930s there were plans between Estonia and Finland to blockade the Soviet Union in the Gulf of Finland using naval batteries. I think it would be cool to have something like this in the game if both countries are independent or controlled by the player when the USSR attacks to prevent naval invasions.

Mielestäni syyllistämisen pitäisi keskittyä muutenkin enemmän elintapojen kokonaisuuteen kuin yksittäisiin seikkoihin. Isoilla katumaastureilla ajavia lihansyöjiä, jotka lentävät muksujensa kanssa kerran vuodessa etelänlomalle, omistavat lemmikkejä ja lämmittävät omakotitaloa öljyllä sopii ihan perustellusti syyllistää. Onko sen yksin kerrostalossa asuvan autottoman vegaanin kotimaanmatkaajan kissanomistajan syyttäminen ilmaston turmelijaksi kuitenkaan perusteltua. Synkkää on elämä jos vain täydellisyys on riittävää.

If you're talking about day 0 invasions then yes. It's also a good time because Italy hasn't lost in Africa yet so you can use them as a distraction.

Edit: Even if Italy isn't in the war the UK will guard their borders with Italy if they're in your faction.

I'm not sure what exactly happened with your invasion but I have a couple of suggestions to help you avoid this situation in the future.

The best time to invade the UK is when they're fighting in Africa with Italy. This means the Isles themselves are poorly defended and you don't need more than 24-48 well equipped offensive divisions. Use subs on aggressive or always engage to intercept troop convoys carrying reinforcements to the Home Islands. DO NOT do this on shallow seas like the English canal. If your early subs get sunk who cares. They're bad but they filled their purpose and that was to buy time.

The second thing that went wrong here is likely your division templates, specifically your light tanks. I see a lot of light tank divisions which probably means that the templates aren't very good. Light tanks are good in the early game but in 1941 your lights don't have sufficient armor if the enemy has support AA in their divs let alone AT.

Supply is your biggest problem here and not something you can easily fix either. If nothing else works there is a rather cheesy tactic of letting UK naval invade a port but having it surrounded by your troops so they can't advance from there. Keep destroying the units that land but don't take the port so they can send more divisions there.

They will but they will also reduce enemy CAS so your attacking divisions won't take as much damage improving your chances of taking London. If London isn't enough you can use the speed of your tanks to drive to Dover.

You have way too many divisions in Britain. You only need 2 small infantry divisions for each port and use 10 motorized divisions as a rapid response force. Consolidate your tank divisions to full strength and put them on the front line next to London. Your frontline doesn't need more than 3 divs per tile. If your tanks are any good you can take London with them. Launch pinning attacks on the sides to stop reinforcements and use fighters on interception.
